Location: Terrier Security Services, Silk Board, Bengaluru

Department: Legal

Matrix Reporting to: CEO of the business/platform & Group General Council

What your job entails

As a Legal & Compliance Head of a platform/business you will be required to provide and set strategic direction, sound balanced legal advice on a wide range of Employment/Labor Law matters, commercial matters etc. Along with that you will be responsible to lead the specific business assigned to you, all Legal matters, be it contracts/ Contracts Management system/ litigations etc.

Who you'll be working with: You will be working closely with the Corporate General Council and her team and Senior stakeholders of the business assigned too.

You'll be: Eventually a People Manager and would run a Legal & Compliance team for the specific business / Platform

What you'll do at Terrier Security:

- In coordination with the Group Council's team, provide expert and strategic legal advice to management

- Actively be involved in managing potential litigation and ensure that Terrier interest particularly of the business/platform you are assigned too is protected.

- Set internal governance policies and manage the impact of external factors

- Evaluate and weigh multiple inputs and impacts of any decision or course of action

- Anticipate issues and estimate risks strategically. Identify proactive solutions that will eliminate or mitigate risks

- Responsible for Labor Law & Business compliance and legal issues and provide oversight for various legal regulatory and government affairs related matters

- To advise on employment related issues regarding termination, severance, mutual separation, outsourcing arrangements, employment templates

- Setting internal governance policies and manage the impact of external factors

- Advising executive members on new laws, existing laws and legal rights that would impact functionality of the business

- Create associations of trust and respect with key stakeholders

- Write various internal legal contracts, negotiating and managing client and vendor contracts and ensuring legal compliance regarding employee safety

- Deal with external parties (regulators, external counsel, politicians, clients)

- Attract, develop, direct, motivate and drive performance from team

- Draft agreements that minimize risks and maximize legal rights

- Meet legal objectives

- Deal with complex, significant matters that cut across legal and related areas

- Keep abreast of legislative changes

What we are looking for:

- At least 14-18 years of experience

- Be comfortable and familiar with technology and domain

- Able to lead & collaborate well with cross functional teams

- Overall broad legal knowledge with legal expertise on employment laws, procedural compliance aspect of Labor Law, litigation vis- vis employment law

- In-depth understanding of how legal issues affect organizations

- High degree of professional ethics, integrity and gravitas

- Ability to anticipate legal issues or risks and to "see around the corner"
