Head - IT Application/SAP - FMCG (10-15 yrs)

Candidate with experience in managing SAP or any other IT applications for FMCG Space only can apply; FMCG EXP IS MUST 


SAP :

This role needs a high level of knowledge of SAP. The role needs to have a deep understanding of technical architecture of SAP ERP and other solutions. Backgrounds as a SAP functional configure or technical architect would be an advantage. Understanding of new paradigms in SAP like HANA will be critical to execution of the roadmap.

FMCG Industry :

The Business Relationship Management role for India is a critical role. The individual needs to have the depth and breadth of FMCG business-IT knowledge to be able to drive digital transformation in the region.

Leadership Responsibilities and capabilities :

- Member of the Global information Systems Leadership Team

- Leads their own functional & technical IS Team

- Manage the relationship between GIS and senior managers across South Asia business

- Responsibility within this role spans the IS strategic change requirements but may be involved in continuous improvement activities for some of the time. The role is responsible for owning and delivering key parts the IS strategy and will take decisions that are prioritized in accordance with global priorities as agreed with the CIO.

- Align IS portfolio of development plan & support schedules with business strategy and in conjunction with CIO, prioritize IS spend based on value creation. This includes :

a. Measuring delivery through KPIs

b. Team and talent development

c. Key stakeholder management

- Accountability for clearly defining the portfolio of development plan & support schedules that will result in the development of IS solutions (together with the program management / PMO & IS Operations & Communications Teams)

- Accountability for the delivery as per agreed portfolio of development plan & support schedules/service levels

- Ensure that portfolio of development plan & support schedules are in harmony with enterprise architecture as per Architecture group strategy

- Ensure that development/support team are clear on the deliverables and act as an escalation point

- Ensure that portfolio of development plan & support schedules are regularly monitored and tuned for the performance as per agreed performance parameters

- Flag off the proactively the development/systems issues in advance so as to ensure proper application availability

- Ensure that proper staffing, skills & sourcing are done as per industry standard and adhere to the requisite norms as laid out by the enterprise

- Ensure that team resources are adequately & requisite trained as per the need of portfolio of development plan & support schedules

- Ensure that Industry standard is followed towards managing the application development & support plan through proper application development management strategy

- Ensure that in the areas of Change/configuration/release/testing/quality a proper disciplined is followed by defining and maintaining common standards and processes

- Driving and maintaining clarity between the business and IS

- Ensure all portfolio of development plan & support schedules are aligned to IS strategic framework

- Strive for competitive and industry best practice in Application development/support methodology

- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with the business users

Financial management/governance :

- Responsible for overall budgets and reporting against them

- Supports resource allocation within and across the function as managed by the Office of the CIO

- Accountable for conformance to Security and integrity management (CARM) requirements
