We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic individual to join our client as the Head of Export Logistics. This role requires excellent Negotiation skills and a deep understanding of supply chain management, and the ability to drive operational excellence in exports.
The Role:
- Collaborate closely with the Supply Chain Manager and factories to plan dispatch schedules, packaging arrangements, and container readiness.
- Negotiate and maintain contracts with shipping lines and freight forwarders to optimize costs and service levels, including spot rates and long-term agreements for favorable pricing.
- Oversee the entire export process, managing tasks such as order processing, documentation, customs clearance, shipping, and international customer delivery.
- Stay up to date with international trade regulations, sanctions, and compliance requirements to ensure strict adherence and proactively mitigate potential risks.
- Efficiently handling outbound logistics while prioritizing cost savings is crucial.
Desired Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field. A master's degree is considered advantageous.
- Proven track record of at least 15 years in exports logistics, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong negotiation skills demonstrated through successful interactions with Customs House Agents (CHA) and Clearing & Forwarding (C&F) agents, along with proficiency in spot booking.
- Comprehensive knowledge of international shipping procedures, customs regulations, and port-related documentation.
