Job Description : Opportunity to head the international business / commercial controllership business of a leading firm based out of Gurgaon
Client Details :
Our client is a leading player in the building materials space with more than 50 years of operating history. Having started out in the Indian market, over the last few decades, our client has built up a sizeable presence overseas as well. Spread across multiple countries across three continents, our client is looking to further their overseas expansion and are looking for an international commercial controller to facilitate the same
Description :
Leading a team of 12-15 people, you will own he entire international commercial finance function and be responsible for :
- Providing key decision support around pricing, promotions (discounting), budgetary controls, working capital management, compliance etc
- Working as the business partner to the sales team by identifying & evaluating opportunities to further their top line as well as bottom line growth
- Provide robust pricing & contracting recommendations to Sales and Marketing teams for trade as well as tenders. In addition to this you will be responsible for partnering with the sales team in preparation of promotional schemes and providing recommendations.
- Furthermore, you will be responsible for providing financing solutions including partnering with leasing/financing partners as per business requirements and providing inputs to Finance controlling group for proper accounting of the transactions
- Develop, standardise & periodically update the policy documentation related to the credit (covering credit evaluation criteria, Credit Terms and Credit Limits).
- You will also perform periodic Credit Limit reviews (Credit Checks) and update as required basis the payment history of the customer and current credit risks.
- Furthermore, you will also be responsible for customer Set-Up & Customer Master Management. This will include monitoring and report on deviations from credit policy
- Monitoring the Accounts Receivable portfolio for trends and warning signs, AR Ageing analysis, Analysis of doubtful debts, collection analysis among other things along with dispute management
Profile :
- You will be a Chartered Accountant / Cost & Management Accountant / MBA with more than 12 years of post qualification experience, primarily in a commercial controllership role.
- You will have at least five years of experience in managing the international commercial controllership function of an organisation with sizeable overseas presence.
- Furthermore, you will have extensive exposure to dealing with international stakeholders along with result backed achievements in helping firms grow their presence overseas.
