Lead accounts team for an accounting of International Logistics business.

The International business comprises

- India outbound and inbound business

- International subsidiaries across 5 countries

- The role will be responsible for Supervising Accounts team for International businesses

- Help set up remote accounting team for international subsidiaries that will provide adequate support

- Exercise financial control over revenue and expenses in these business through setting up processes, helping develop systems and controls

- Reconciliation of all processed consignments from revenue and cost perspective

- Monitor receivables from direct customers, balance confirmation of vendors and customers

- Monitor and ensure timely customer and intercompany invoicing

- Audit query resolution and support for local audits and India consolidation audit

- Customs clearance process etc will not be in scope

- Minimal export related accounting

- Consolidation of international holding company is not in scope

- Ensure timeliness, accuracy and completeness of the following activities

- Responsible for the following activities

1. Statutory Books of Accounts :

- Supervise day to accounting of India international business

- International gateway accounting and Debits to India regions

- Review process gaps and exercise financial control

- Ensure accurate P&L for India International business unit

- Supervise day to accounting of India international business

- Set up remote accounting team for international business unit

- Setup process of recording costs and revenue based on adequate supporting originals for remote accounting

- Ensure adequate financial control on revenue and costs

- Work with IT team to develop reports and features

- Ensure timely invoicing for customers and intercompany

2. Controls

- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen - internal controls

- Internal Financial Control (IFC) :

- Creation and Maintenance of Internal Financial Control for all the legal entities in the international business

3. Cost Controls :

Monitor cost movements, operations and play an active role in managing costs and preventing inappropriate spend.

4. Business Partnership :

Support overall business head (Board Director) in managing P&L and budget. Prepare forecasts and plans. Work with business head to meet targets for the zone.

5. Compliance :

- Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for the annual audit

- Monitor debt levels and compliance with debt covenants

- Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and review timeliness of tax filings

6. Management accounting entries :

Ensure all entries necessary for management accounting (Inter BU entries)

7. Systems and Processes :

Design and Maintain system and processes to ensure compliant and correct financial statements

Key Skills Required :

- Managing Processes, Driving Financial ERP module, Developing Standards, Audit, Accounting,

- High degree of process orientation, ability to build process in adaptability to an accelerating business.

- Ability to think out of the box and produce results with available resources

- Good at designing and maintaining control process relevant to controllership profile
