Head - Internal Audit - NBFC - CA

Our client is a leading non banking financial services organisation looking to hire Internal Audit Head based in Chennai.

Role description:

- Perform and control the full audit cycle including risk management and control management over operations effectiveness, financial reliability and compliance with all applicable directives and regulations

- Determine internal audit scope and develop annual plans

- Obtain, analyse and evaluate the process controls, review new designs, work continuously with functional heads, CRO team and finance to mitigate risks

- Carry out branch risk assessment and provide branch rating

- Act as an objective source of independent advice to ensure validity, legality and goal achievement

- Identify loopholes and recommend risk aversion measures and cost savings

- Maintain open communication with management and audit committee

- Prepare and present reports that reflect audits results

- Document process and prepare audit findings in a most acceptable, lucid way to the top management

- Conduct follow up audits to monitor remedial actions

- Ensure that internal audit resources are appropriate, sufficient and effectively deployed to achieve the internal audit plan approved by the Audit Committee

- Engage to continuous knowledge development regarding sectors rules, regulations, best practices, tools, techniques and performance standards

Desired Profile:

- Proven working experience as Chief Internal Audit Executive / HIA

- Proven knowledge of auditing standards and procedures, laws, rules and regulations ;

- High attention to detail and excellent analytical skills ; and Sound independent judgement

Chartered Accountant (preferred) or a recognized qualification in management like Company Secretary, Cost Accountant and preferably with international certifications in auditing like CIA from IIA and or the CISA and other appropriate certifications from ISACA. Certified Fraud Examiner, (CFE) from the ACFE, USA is preferred.
