Desired Profile :  Qualification :   - Chartered Accountant. Scholastic record in School, Graduation & CA should be with good grades.  - 25+ years of experience in Internal Audit or Financial Accounting and Budgeting in large reputed companies with good IT environment or suitable Big 4 Auditing firms  - Should have handled a large team (15-20 people)  - Exposure of handling multiple businesses in a large conglomerate preferred  - Must have worked in a Listed Company and Experience in dealing with the board.  Key Responsibilities :  - Develop a robust annual audit plan and review existing accounting, financial, operational controls and other legal compliance processes in place  - Provide guidance to the board of directors, senior management, staff and employees on compliance related matters  - Monitor and oversee internal audits and reviews regularly to assess the compliance of departments and individual employees  - Maintain and constantly upgrade knowledge on internal auditing best practice and legislation to ensure the analysis and review of a variety of areas in the business depending on the scope identified in the audit plan.  - Liaise with external government and auditing agencies or legal professionals to understand insights into changing regulations, standard compliance practices and other changes that may impact the merit of current internal audit policies  - Develop a competent team of internal audit professionals to carry out audit functions and fraud investigation effectively  Desired Competencies/Skill Set :  - Pro-active with sharp analytical ability and reasoning skills  - Ability to communicate with tact to various stakeholders  - Familiarity with information technology techniques for controls  - Good understanding of value drivers and business imperatives  - Strong influencing and interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels in the business  - Sound experience in Fraud prevention and detection  - Should be able to work with externally hired professionals (forensic experts, SMEs etc.)  - Agility and speed in preparing audit reports  - A person who can stand up to challenge especially when there are difficult conversations required with line managers  - Strong experience in organizing, planning, managing and supervising the audit functions and conducting financial reporting  - Ability to interpret complex processes, policies and financial and legal documents  - Excellent knowledge in the areas of compliance-related matters in auditing and control  - Strong management and leadership skills as exhibited by experience in effectively leading a team and/or chairing committees  - Capability to develop a network with the Government Statutory & Regulatory bodies and experience in interacting with senior level functionaries  - Should have high level of target orientation with excellent written & spoken communication skills  Reporting To The Audit Committee and to the MD & CEO
