As this role is essential to the organization, it is vital that candidate comes with a track record of delivery and proven experience.
The responsibilities include:
- Undertake an independent risk assessment for the purpose of formulating a riskbased audit plan. This risk assessment would cover risks at various levels/areas (corporate and branch, the portfolio and individual transactions, etc.) as also the associated processes.
- Assess the design and effectiveness of internal controls and compliance with corporate policies and procedures, including assessing reliability of information used in control performance.
- Plan and execute annual audit plans as well as special or ad-hoc audits/investigations for the Company to provide assurance that business and operations risks are adequately mitigated to ensure compliance to the Company's policies & procedures.
- Performs internal audit procedures including walk-throughs, preparation of narratives and business risk and control matrices; identifies control gaps and weaknesses.
- Ability to leverage on the technology in devising and executing internal audit plans - Provides recommendations in improving the organization's controls and operations.
- Review and report on the accuracy, timeliness and relevance of financial and other information that is required by management.
- Report to the Audit Committee of Company on the status and results of significant audit findings.
- Accountable for developing and raising capabilities/competencies and performance of Company's Internal Audit System.
