Job Description - Set up and head global internal audit for multiple geographies. Role will involve extensive domestic and international travel.

Our client is a European agro-tech player with a strong presence in 15+ countries globally.

Description

As Head - Internal Audit, you will report to the CFO. Your key responsibilities will be as follows:

- Develop a strong assessment framework for reporting various business activities in the form of a functional audit

- Working closely with CFO and Directors to ensure reviews are taken on a periodic basis

- Identify risks and update them to the management to make them aware of any changes and consider major risk areas in relation to operational and strategic management

- Present an annual internal audit plan to the CFO for approval

- Develop and maintain the Internal Audit Procedures to ensure that best practice is taken account of

- At the conclusion of audit visits to provide a full briefing to the Regional, Country Directors or the director of relevant department ensuring that their comments are recorded as part of the review

- Agree action plan necessary to implement the audit recommendations with the Regional, Country Directors or the director of relevant department

- Present the audit report to the CFO/ Directors, highlighting any areas of concern and the resultant action plan

- Monitor the implementation of any recommendations

- Identify common features across audits and organisation-wide issues, proposing appropriate systems improvements

Profile

As the ideal candidate, you should meet the following criteria:

- Chartered Accountant with 9-13 years of pure internal audit experience

- Strong hands on experience of auditing across different industries and companies having large volumes and complexities

- Exposure in big four auditing/consulting and industry would be preferred

- Collaborative leader with proven ability to challenge the status quo and set best in standard benchmarks
