Head - Insurance Products & Operations (15-24 yrs)

Key Result Areas

1. Product Design :

a. To keep track of and benchmark current products from insurers - on features/underwriting/innovation

b. Use the above knowledge to help us get the best product structures for its customers from insurers

c. Match customer segments with product needs - leading to a product development calendar with priorities

d. Develop intuitive & usable product structures that are easy for us to deliver and customers to understand

e. Evaluate extant regulations around products to ensure products are compliant to all regulations - while delivering superior value to our customers

2. Product pricing :

a. To maintain a repository of product-price comparisons across the insurance industry

b. To spot pricing opportunities by analyzing and tracking utilization of product opportunities

c. To eliminate avoidable product components which have low utilization and/or high loading on price

d. To discover customer segments where risk-based pricing can deliver superior pricing benefits to the customer

3. Regulatory interaction :

a. To maintain a strong relationship with various levels of the regulatory interaction touch-points

b. To keep track of regulatory thought process and be ahead of the curve in terms of product designs meeting regulatory thought process

c. To assist the compliance and legal counsel functions with regulatory audits as and when they happen

4. Operations & commercials :

a. To put in place a reporting mechanism that keeps track of sales funnels, converted sales and revenues

b. To build SOPs for each customer touch-point and monitor our's and insurer's performance against the same

c. To build, run and refine a grievance and complaint handling process in line with the regulatory and insurer's expectations

5. Voice of Customer :

a. Build a - customer listening process- and deliver inputs to insurers, insurance business heads and other relevant internal stakeholders to enhance customer experience

b. Benchmark customer experience and processes with other internal categories as well as competition insurers - hence acting as a catalyst for improving process design for customer experience

Candidate Pool :

- Minimum 15 years of experience in product management, development and/or underwriting with a general insurer

- Exposure to an additional product line like health or life insurance is a plus

- Should come with a strong understanding of product regulations

- Experienced in working on a Cross-Functional Team to deliver the product

- Exposure to tech inclined businesses and processes is must
