Global Tyre Manufacturer Requires Head IT( Gurgaon) :

One of our client a leading US $ 2.34 billion Tyre Manufacturer with Global presence in over 18 countries including india & have strong presence in Middle east market/ Europe / North Africa including Dubai/ Qatar/North African .

The Company aims to build strong presence in most of the major markets of the Regions & across geographies. While Dubai was set-up as the hub for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region two years back, the tyres for these markets are imported from both India and Europe. In the passenger vehicle tyre category, It would be capitalising on the increasing automobile sales, rising per capita income and implementation of strict rules for quality tyres .

We are looking for Head IT for Corporate headquarter in Gurgaon.

Job Title : Head IT

Level : D

Lead the process of planning & implementing IT enabled systems for the client, ensure continuous and lasting competitive advantage & ensure business continuity within the constraints imposed by budget & corporate guidelines

Reports to : Head - SCM, Project Management & IT (APMEA)

Unit / Location : Head Office

Main Responsibilities / Job Summary :

- Identify technology trends & analyze compatibility with existing systems

- Plan for sourcing & implementation of these technologies with desired after sales support from vendors

- Secure appropriate infrastructure, network, application & systems to support the business & its objectives

- Negotiate terms & agreements with service providers and system integrators

- Ensure adequate maintenance & upgradation of technology

- Plan & implement measures relating to Security, firewall, protection to ensure stability & protect the interests of the organization

- Access training requirements & develop training modules

- Facilitate training programs to internal stakeholders on usage, features, disaster management, recovery plans

- Align with the business on requirements in core systems or customer facing applications to translate into IT requirements and initiatives

- Participate in recruitment process, allocate targets, monitor & guide performance, provide developmental feedback to lead & manage a capable and motivated team

- Approve purchases of technological equipment and software and establish partnerships with IT providers

- Engage, contribute and align as part of Global on the organizational IT Roadmap and Initiatives

- On time & within cost project completion : Feedback on quality of plan

- Feedback on alignment of IT plan with the : Responsiveness to potential business risk

Business plan situations :

- User feedback : Internal customer satisfaction

- Within time & cost implementation : Feedback on effectiveness of training

Skills & Knowledge Requirements :

Knowledge (Technical / Functional) :

- Updated knowledge of solutions & solution providers

- Knowledge of industry best practices in IT

Qualifications :

- Graduate in Engineering with an additional degree/ diploma in business management

Experience :

- 12-15 years in the IT function of a multi-location manufacturing organization with a wide distribution network

- Experience in digitial customer facing applications and/or a tech startup organization is a plus
