Head - Industrial Relations - Healthcare (20-25 yrs)

Reporting To Chief Operating Officer
Reportees: Senior Manager IR, Manager IR
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Voluntary Retirement Scheme implementation: evaluating pros and cons and presenting facts and figures with Strong conceptual knowledge and experience of implementing VRS scheme
- Handle Union agreements and wage settlements and their revisions.
- To maintain cordial Industrial Relations/Employee Relations in the hospital. Responsible for IR/ER matters.
- Should be able to handle multiple unions tactfully
- Coordinate with Union Representatives and holding meetings.
- Union correspondence after consulting Advocates & Management
- Representing management in negotiation meetings / Agreement
- Ensuring legal and statutory compliance of the hospital
- Labour Law compliance and maintaining professional relationship with Advocates
- Attending offices of Govt. Officials, Court Cases etc. as on required basis
- To ensure Legal Compliance on the Labour and HR domain of various Laws/Acts applicable including Contract Labour Act, PF Act, Gratuity Act, ESI Act, Industrial Employment (S.O.) Act, Minimum Wages Act, Workmen Compensation Act and other Labour related acts applicable to the Hospitals for direct and indirect employees (contractual staff).
- Responsible for Management of discipline including conducting Domestic Enquiries and taking others Disciplinary actions e.g.: Warnings, Issuing Show Cause Notices, Charge Sheets & Advisory Notes etc.
- Advising Management on appropriate action and decision to ensure that the Hospital is on the right side of the law.
- Optimum manpower utilization - full timer as well as contractual
Job Specification
Skills:
- Team player and Process oriented.
- Good knowledge of IR and HR function
- Grievance Handling skills
- People management/Employee Relations skills
- Liaisoning with government officials and managing all statutory compliance
- Experience of negotiating and signing minimum three COD agreements.
Qualification
a) Degree / Diploma in Human Resource Management and Industrial Relations (Preferably Masters in Labour Studies)
