Job Description for Indirect Tax Head

- Leading the Group Indirect taxation team and ensuring flawless statutory compliances for all businesses of the group

- Ensure compliance with GST & other Indirect Tax Laws such as filling of periodical tax returns, replies/submissions to enquiries from the tax department for all the Manufacturing Units and Corporate Office

- Standardization of process related to indirect taxation across all businesses of the group

- Ensure closure of pending cases e.g. collection of all due statutory forms viz C-Form, F Form etc to avoid any financial loss/burden to the company, pending refund, claims etc

- Handle engagements related to GST and other Indirect Tax Laws, Appeals, Tax Restructuring, Tax advisory pertaining to GST and Customs

- Handle departmental audits, enquiries and similar interventions

- Maintain healthy external relations in order to present the industry's or company's views on any IDT issue before tax authorities

- Develop, implement and monitor tax control and compliance through robust system and process orientation

- Working closely with the leadership on matters related to Tax Planning, Advisory, Compliances and Litigation along with other relevant internal/external stakeholders

- Stay abreast on tax legislation, changes in tax regime, evaluate implications for the company, support in decision-making, communication and compliance

- Participate in the review/drafting of the tax clauses in the contracts

- Perform/co-ordinate on indirect tax due diligence for potential M&A opportunities

- Managing and customising ERP systems to adhere to various taxation requirements

- Institutionalise a strong MIS reporting on GST & Customs etc

- Working/Liaising with internal and Statutory auditors in regards to the audit requirements
