Client Details

Our client is an American MNC with a significant global presence. Over the years they have expanded their operations globally, and have been present in India for about 5 years now. They have been able to acquire a strong market share and brand recall value in the India market during this time. Currently, they are looking at embarking on an ambitious growth plan in the India market. They are looking to recruit a Head of Imports and Logistics, based our of their corporate office in Delhi NCR.

Description

Reporting to the Business Head, you will be responsible for -

- Imports management, including customs clearance, trade compliance etc.


- Domestic transportation and distribution across India.


- Managing the 3PL partners effectively


- Planning and forecasting to ensure accurate material availability


- Managing/establishing relationships with key strategic vendors


- Sourcing and procurement related initiatives (local and global)

Profile

You should be a post graduate with greater than 10 years of experience in core supply chain positions. Prior experience in managing imports and logistics is a must. Additionally, the experience of having worked in the building materials, construction or chemicals space is preferred. The client is looking for someone with the ability to adopt a hands on approach towards his/her work. You should also possess strong negotiation skills.
