Our client is a fast growing D2C pet-care start-up based in Pune.
Job Responsibilities: The role is responsible to set-up and head the HR function.
- Understanding the high paced business objectives and designing HR strategy to achieve it.
- Set up HR practice and streamline current policies and frameworks based on the changing and growth of the organisation.
- Design sustainable organisation structure and define job bands/responsibilities across all levels.
- Study industry salary standards and design compensation to attract and retain employees.
- Partner with leaders to understand the people's needs and address the same in the timely manner.
- Ensure the department maintains the highest standards of internal policies and legal standards.
- Strategies efficient talent acquisition strategy to recruit culturally fit talent.
- Advise stakeholders on the availability of talent in the market and create a good pipeline.
- Drive learning programs across all departments for both technical and soft skills development.
- Act to support the human factor in the company by devising strategies for performance evaluation, staffing, training and development etc
- Create a career path for high performing and high potential employees as a long term retention strategy.
- Identify and set-up a culture of values that reflects high integrity, accountability, compassion for the cause and high performing environment. Ensure the employees are aligned to the set culture.
- Create a work space where employees feel safe to express their thoughts and create an unbiased grievance redressal and invoking disciplinary action when required
- Report to senior management by analyzing data and using HR metrics
- Serve as the point of contact for all things employment relations.
- Supervise the work of HR personnel and provide guidance.
Candidate Preferred:
- Experience of 12 to 15 years with years an MBA (HR Specialisation preferred)
- Should have currently/in past led and drive HR initiatives for a start-up and played an important part in building up the start-up
- Strong compliance knowledge.
- Quick decision making ability
- Prove experience of designing the organisational structure and pave the path ahead.
- Should be high on emotional quotient to manage a diverse workforce from corporate functions to vets and groomers on the field.
- Should be inclined to technology initiatives for the HR department to achieve efficiency and cost optimization in the long run.
- Should be an animal lover or a pet parent.
- Full understanding of the way an organization operates to meet its objectives
- Excellent knowledge of employment legislation and regulations
- Thorough knowledge of human resource management principles and best practices
- A business acumen partnered with attention to the human element
- Knowledge of data analysis and reporting
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Diligent and firm with high ethical standards
