Role Head HR

Reporting :Matrix Reporting

Functionally reported by : HR Heads of acquired companies

Location : Mumbai

Job Purpose:

To lead the HR function for General Staffing Business of the Group Cos . Upgrading HR processes, implement best Hr practices and HR Automation. Ensure smooth acquisition and support business growth agenda for General Staffing business.

Role:

HR Strategy

- Designing & creating the HR Strategy for General Staffing business in line with the business vision

Performance Management

- Drive a performance-oriented culture by enabling role clarity and accountability

- Ensure that the business plan is cascaded in terms of quantifiable performance measures across the organization to enable the effective implementation of the performance management system

- Lead and ensure effective development and roll out of the annual performance appraisal process. Work closely with the department heads during target setting, appraisal and performance feedback sessions

Talent Management

- Drive the implementation of organization structure through structured initiatives in close consultation with the management.

- Lead Talent Management process and manage Hi-Potential programs

- Conduct Succession Planning exercise and provide all the necessary support for development of successors

Talent Acquisition

- Conduct manpower planning in coordination with the Department Heads in order to ensure skilled human capital in the right numbers to achieve business results.

- Review staffing numbers so as to ensure optimal staffing of functions

- Oversee and guide the effective development and implementation of a proactive recruitment management system to ensure that manpower requirements for every department are effectively fulfilled within the pre-set recruitment lead times

- Monitor the recruitment process for all the departments/ functions in coordination with the relevant department heads, based on the profile specifications provided by them

- Lead the negotiations with the recruitment consultants and vendors; set Service Level Agreements with the consultants / vendors and ensure adherence to the same

Learning & Development

- Lead the learning & development initiatives; drive the training need identification in consultation with the Department Heads and oversee the effective planning and implementation of training programmes to ensure capability building of employees.

- Lead the establishment of a robust knowledge management system; guide and oversee the implementation of the same to ensure effective knowledge management and leveraging on organizational knowledge

Compensation & Benefits

- Direct the implementation of initiatives in the area of rewards and compensation such as variable pay scheme, increments etc. Keep track of the latest industry trends in the area of rewards and compensation

- Support the annual compensation activities ensuring consistent and fair decisions are made in the promotion, bonus and salary increase processes

Employee Engagement

- Responsible for developing, coordinating and managing internal communications strategies to support business objectives

- Implement best in class practices for employee retention

HR Policies & processes

- Develop and ensure effective implementation of standardized Human Resources policies for personnel across the organization

- Drive best practices and improvements to internal processes & systems

- Proactively communicate policies and process to employees

Compliance

- Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements of the Shops & Establishment Act, Payment of Wages Act, Provident Fund, ESI and all other direct/ contractual employee related legal statutes that may be in force

- Deal with the concerned statutory authorities on non-routine matters and ensure timely resolution of the same

Employee Relations

- Evolve the Employee Relations strategy and oversee effective implementation of the same at project sites to ascertain minimal disputes

- Ensure timely resolution of any escalated issues at the Site in consultation with the management and ensure the effective implementation of the corrective action in a timely manner

- Establish and drive administration / employee welfare activities to provide a comfortable and ergonomically aligned work place environment

- Put a mechanism in place to capture voice of employees

- Conduct regular field visits to capture and resolve employee issues

- Take full ownership of disciplinary procedure and take appropriate actions as per rules, when required

- Create Union handling Strategy and maintain professional & balanced relationship with multiple Union bodies

- Keep himself abreast with changing dynamics and political scenarios and work out strategy to mitigate the risks

HRIS & HR Automation

- Implement the HR software in all acquired companies
