Company: Company is one of India's most reputed, research-based, techno-savvy pharmaceutical Contract Manufacturing company in India.

Its specialised in Contract Manufacturing of Pharmaceutical formulations, Ayurvedic / Herbal preparations, Hormones, Nutraceuticals and more and has acquired a strong position in especially the Contract Manufacturing business in India.

Role: VP Human Resources (Head HR)

Report to: Managing Director

Location: Mumbai

Purpose of the role:

- To focuse on the areas of Organizational Development, Talent Management, Learning & Development, Compensation and Benefits.

- To Lead the development and execution of the Human Resources strategic plan to support the business strategies and promote a unified company culture.

- To provide leadership to the cross divisionalHRteam and build organizational capability and effectiveness.

- To delivers Cost Saving Targets as agreed

Experience :

- 17-25 years in Pharmaceuticals / Chemical/ FMCG/Petrochemicals/Engineering Industry with at least 10 years as Head or Equivalent Level with the team of 10 to 20 personnel.

KEY Deliverables HR Corporate HEAD :

- Frame a clear and easily implementable HR Policies which should be at par in Industry

- Evaluate and Improvise the current HR Practices to keep with time and external benchmarks - Best Practices in Industry.

- Keeping and updated Employee Handbook / Manual with all relevant details and information

- Design, update and share SOPs of all HR processes in Manual.

- Implement Paperless HRM through ERP system

- Complete assessment of Staff / Contract Labour and submit report which should be aligned with all operation head for reduction of Contract Labour

- Execute manpower planning and budgeting to have a road-map in terms of savings.

- Performance Management System for Manager & Above Level - Complete Mapping and Implementation in system within 3 months time.

- Plan and Execute suitable initiatives / interventions to keep the employees motivated

- Act as a business partner and provide dashboards/analytics to business heads/department heads to help them have a pulse of their team

- Take adequate measures to retain good employees, ring fence high potential employees

- Ensure Statutory Compliant status at all times.

- HR visit calendar to all locations is made and followed

- Executing - Employee Engagement- initiatives to keep people together and make the workplace exciting, rewarding and engaging

- Drive an effective Learning and development agenda that impacts the employees and the businesses

- Conduct periodical employee surveys to collate insights @ workplace and in turn design employee interventions accordingly to address concern areas

- Support and counsel business managers to effectively manage teams to ensure higher employee productivity

- Have an updated repository of Job descriptions for all roles in the organization along with measurable performance indicators for each role

- Create a complementing skills based team recruitment specialist, Business HR Partner and provide employee development and counseling assistance to employees / team members to enhance performance and productivity for each Operation / Plant - Need to have documentation and Procedure for this activity.

- Plan and implement an effective HR Plan that is aligned to Business Plan and overall organization people agend

- Lead Complete HR Function of co's including the development and execution of the Human Resources strategic plan to support the business strategies and promote a unified company culture by evaluating / modifying present policies as per best industrial practices under the guidance of MD.

- Provide leadership to the cross divisional HR team and build organizational capability and effectiveness. Ensure a strong focus on internal customer satisfaction.

- Accurately diagnose organizational issues, develop solutions, and implement them.

- Oversee the effective goal setting and deployment process in the business to ensure the business goals are aligned and cascaded through the organization.

- Guidance to HR Function on Development of strategies and actions to increase employee engagement and commitment.

- Conduct organization assessments and upgrade talent through strategic staffing and talent pipeline development and mobilization.

- Drive a culture of growth, meeting commitments, and positive employee relations.

- Drive for Open Door Policy

- Ensure a systemic and integrated approach to Human Resource solutions working closely with the Senior management and cross divisional HCD team.

- Ensure organization design and role changes aligned withHRpolicies, SOPs and requirements.

- Execute change management and communication plans in connection with the business transformation program.

- Implement Lean Manufacturing concepts in HRM.

Key Accountabilities / Position Summary

Employee Relations

- Complete Responsible for Co's Umbrella of HR with Employee Strength of more than 8000.

- Provide a proactive HR consultation to people leaders on employee relation activities. Advising and coaching them on ER issues like disciplinary, performance management.

- Build strong relationships with people managers within Umbrella of Co's and also with Division heads who have people management responsibility.

- Building a culture of Performance:

Compliance & Business Ethics

- To ensure implementation of requirements status under various legislations applicable to Employee / staff located across all geographical locations in India to ensure 100 % statutory compliance.

- Conscience keeper and facilitator in maintaining Culture and deployment of Values, Code of conduct & Business Ethics.

- Conduct awareness session on BUSINESS ETHICS with all the new joiners

- Working closely in the investigation with the Chief compliance officer on all the issues raised by the India business employees and to enhance and institutionalize practices that build employee engagement.

- Take necessary actions on the audit observation given by the central audit committee every year.

Giving guidance to HR Personal on Handling contract employees:

- Ensure contract employees connect and wellbeing as per legal requirements through HR Team.

- Giving guidance on Conducting regular meeting with the contract employees and auditing the records as per the contract labor act.

Legal & Discipline.

- Give guidance & Consultation on all the court cases

- Increase the advocates network and on-board services across the regions for quick resolution

- Advise on Initiating disciplinary actions against the delinquent employee in timely and quick manner.

- Ensure statutory compliance for India business, timely filing of all statutory returns to relevant authority. Respond to their queries and notice.

Liaison & Networking: Drive liaison with Govt. bodies / agencies to ensure timely support by the external agencies for all the business challenges faced on account of employee relations challenges/issue.

World Class HR Practices:

- Identifies opportunities and issues with process and add value to the area of HRM through a total cost of ownership orientation.

- Manage relationships and ways of working with key Internal & External stake holder in order to align understanding & commitment with Organizational Goals and Visions.

People:

- Ensures that communication to the internal & external customer is proper. Seamless & timely flow of information creates an environment of transparency and access to information.

Systems & Processes:

- Identifies implements & continuously improves systems & processes in order to deliver greater effectiveness of service for the company.

- Demonstrates & performs in accordance with sound business ethics, HRM standards, policies & procedures to give Co's the highest possible perceived integrity in all stakeholder relationships.

Qualifications

Degree/Diploma in Engineering or Post Graduate or Degree in any stream / PGDM/MBA in HR Management

Essential skills required

- Understanding of Manufacturing and Non Manufacturing processes

- Robust knowledge of the Human Resource Management

- Identification of Opportunities of improvement in Business processes

- Trainer

- Conceptualizing a systematic approach to address a business challenge

- Balance Score card

- Lean, Six Sigma, Business process Re-engineering hands on implementation

Relations:

Internal:

- Manufacturing/Local & Global HR Team/ Finance/Administration/Engineering / Operations / SHE / QA /QC & so on.

External:

- Regulatory bodies / Consultants

Other skills required

- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritise, multi-task, and plan for future contingencies

- Be capable of making sound decisions in a fast moving environment.

- Customer/Consumer orientation is must.

- Be a Change Agent and Leads by example, possessing the excellent communication and interpersonal skills required to be an inspiring leader.
