Head - Human Resources - Manufacturing firm (5-12 yrs)

Essential Functions:

- Acts as an internal consultant by analyzing and recommending solutions to human resource issues relating to the assigned program or section area.

- Responsible for all HR-related compliance matters aligning with statutory requirements in India.

- Ensures HR programs are in compliance with other established policies and procedures and with any relevant federal, state or local legislation.

- Provides HR support, guidance and advice on areas such as recruitment & staffing, compensation & benefits, HR operations and learning & development.

- Develops, revises & implements relevant HR policies, procedures and frameworks to support business efficiency.

- Develops and manages relationships with department managers to ensure effective delivery of HR services.

- Leads the implementation of HR initiatives and projects assigned by HQ at local level.

- Responsible for the timely and accurate payment of payroll to all staff in accordance with established policies and procedures and statutory requirements in India.

- Supporting in other ad-hoc duties

Supervisory Responsibility:

- This position may plan, assign or supervise the work of others, and take full responsibility of HR department.

Requirements:

- Degree (or equivalent) required in a related discipline.

- Minimum 5 years of HR Generalist experience and 2 years of managerial experience.

- Well versed in labor law with strong HR knowledge.

- A team player who looks to take up a leadership role.

- Highly motivated and self-driven with an initiative to work without supervision.

- Excellent interpersonal and coordination skills.

- High-quality orientation and attention to detail.

- Ability to learn system, process and software technologies.

- Strong internal and external service orientation.

- Project management experience desirable; project-related experience needed.

- Demonstration of progressive achievement, high work standards, and energy.
