Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Human Resources (HR) to lead and manage the entire HR function for a successful High-Frequency Trading (HFT) firm based in Gurugram. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR management, with a proven track record in talent acquisition, employee retention, and overall HR strategy. This role demands a strategic thinker who can contribute to the firm's growth by ensuring that we attract, retain, and develop the best talent in the industry while maintaining a positive and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
End-to-End Employee Life Cycle Management:
- Oversee the entire employee life cycle, including screening, interviewing, onboarding, training, performance reviews, and offboarding.
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to streamline each phase of the employee life cycle.
- Ensure compliance with all local labor laws and regulations.
Talent Acquisition:
- Lead the recruitment process to ensure the firm has access to the best talent in the industry.
- Collaborate with department heads to understand hiring needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.
- Manage relationships with recruitment agencies and other talent sources.
Employee Retention & Development:
- Develop and implement strategies to maintain high levels of employee morale, satisfaction, and engagement.
- Conduct regular employee satisfaction surveys and address any issues identified.
- Oversee the development and implementation of training and development programs.
- Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, productivity, and professional growth.
Performance Management:
- Implement and manage a robust performance management system that aligns with the firm's goals.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and work with managers to develop improvement plans where necessary.
- Recognize and reward high-performing employees.
HR Strategy & Leadership:
- Develop and execute HR strategies that support the firm's business objectives.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the HR team, ensuring they are aligned with the firm's goals and objectives.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in HR management.
Employee Relations & Discipline:
- Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues, ensuring that discipline is maintained across the firm.
- Serve as a mediator for conflicts and disputes, providing fair and effective solutions.
- Ensure that the company's code of conduct is adhered to by all employees.
HR Analytics & Reporting:
- Use HR analytics to track key HR metrics and provide insights to the executive team.
- Prepare and present HR reports on various metrics such as employee turnover, retention rates, and recruitment efficiency.
Compliance & Risk Management:
- Ensure all HR practices comply with local and national regulations.
- Manage risk by developing and implementing policies that protect the firm from potential legal issues.
Qualifications & Experience:
- MBA from a premier institute
- 15+ years of experience in HR, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, preferably in the financial services or technology sectors.
- Proven experience in managing the full HR spectrum, from recruitment to employee relations.
- Strong knowledge of local labor laws and HR best practices.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong leadership abilities and a strategic mindset.
- Experience in a high-paced, dynamic environment, preferably within the financial sector.
