Discipline - Human Resources Subsector - HR Head Location - Kolkata About our Client - Our client is a growing company in retail fashion and apparels, currently operating out of east India, aiming to grow Pan India, backed by private equity funding. With active growth plans in India, they are looking for a HR Head who comes with generalist skill sets to manage the overall HR responsibility. Job Description - Reporting into the CEO, you will be responsible for both, stores and corporate. Responsibilities of the role as follows : - Oversee talent acquisition, training, career development and sales productivity for a distributed workforce dedicated to all verticals including sales. - Must play a significant role in transforming the talent and culture to enable growth and change within the business. - Be a true partner in collaborating and uplifting leadership team with KPI's, KRA's and managing the entire PMS. - Should have worked in different models of retail/ fashion and apparel. - Must be comfortable and hands on in managing 3600-4000 headcounts and more. - Thorough in preparing and implementing a functional induction plan for new recruits in head office and at store level. - Conceptualize and drive timely implementation of performance management processes across business & proactively support the respective business teams in ensuring quality of Goal Setting and Annual Review processes. - Implement HR policies, practices, and procedures, and ensure compliance with legal laws and/or regulations as regards recruitment - Drive & design competitive compensation & benefits practices in line with business goals - Design, evaluate and modify benefits/ reward policies to ensure that policies are current, competitive and in compliance with legal requirement and educate employees - Conceptualizing & Conducting various employee engagement activities across zone and at head office -Serve as a resource for team leaders in handling employee issues and assist them in counseling employees, conducting evaluations, problem-solving and consensus-building. - Work closely with Store operations team in facilitating execution of specific HR interventions and providing them with expert guidance, coaching and support in order to ensure a consistent and fair approach to people management. - Compile statistical monthly reports and maintain records concerning personnel data such as hires, transfers, performance appraisals, absenteeism rates, attrition, and leave balance etc. The Successful Candidate : - You will come with 10 -15 years of experience as an HR Generalist from the Fashion / Food retail sector. - Exposure to working in a multi location environment is key for this role. Extensive travel is expected as a part of this role.
