Head HR - Indian Lifestyle Retail Group (PE Invested) JOB PURPOSE : - We are looking for a Head of HR to build and manage the entire gamut of HR function, who can do it all and set up a great employee experience. Our people operation function is mission critical to us. - You will have both operational and strategic responsibilities, helping us to plan and administer important functions, such as talent acquisition and management, on-boarding, compensation and benefits, employee engagement & relations, performance appraisals etc. PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES; TALENT PLANNING & ACQUISITION: - Works with Individual head of departments to assess people requirements, skill gaps, training needs & works with his/ her teams to develop a calendar of activities to meet these requirements and address the training needs. - Works closely with the EBO / MBO Heads to ensure that we have the right organisational structure in Operations, we are right staffed in stores, we have a pipeline of managerial talent in stores, productivity assessment, incentive formulation, engagement with the store teams to assess the overall climate, employee satisfaction. - Responsible for hiring and building a strong team. This includes working closely with all hiring managers and HoDs to understand hiring requirements and smooth interview process, guiding team in the hiring process, and close positions as per the agreed TAT and cost. - Should also be hands-on in recruiting for senior level and niche positions. - Responsible to control and assess attrition at all levels, by proactively assessing reasons on a periodic basis and addressing them with the management committee. HR POLICIES & STRATEGY : - Building a strong employer brand. - Develop and implement HR policies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy & culture. - Ensure that standard reports and HR data is continually available for ongoing company requirements. - Suggest new procedures and policies to continually improve the efficiency of the HR department and organization as a whole, and to improve employee experience. TALENT DEVELOPMENT (TRAINING) & TALENT MANAGEMENT : - Lead corporate training initiatives, including conducting TNA, planning the training calendar, ensuring delivery through external consultants, & measuring & reporting efficacy of training. - Deploys scalable methods to disseminate training across stores and regions using in-house resources, web based tools and third party agencies. - Lead and execute the annual and continuous performance management initiatives. - Develop, implement and manage the employee journey experience - right from onboarding to off boarding. - Responsible for the efficient and effective delivery of payroll, benefits, compensation, and employee performance programs. - Champion, conceive and execute employee engagement activities and rewards & recognition initiatives. - Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or other issues. - Be completely responsive to the queries, concerns and roadblocks that employees face in their day to day operations and help unblock them. - Ensure that we have identified the key second line resources in each department every year and ensure that we are engaging with this second line and providing them with the right inputs through training and development COMPLIANCES : - Ensure adherence to Labour compliance as per various applicable regulations - Provide support to all regulatory audits. - Promote a professional, positive, and supportive work environment. - The HR team has to maintain statutory requirements with respect to employees i.e. Employee records, Social security details, Taxation information etc. as mandated by the government SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE : Education: MBA / PG (preferably in HR) Experience: - 12 - 17 years of experience, predominantly in managing Corporate / Regional HR role - Could have worked in either Indian companies or MNCs - Is currently working in a Regional role / 2nd in line with a Large Group or a Head HR with a small / medium sized organization - Should have strong experience in handling Generalist HR profile spanning across Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Performance Management, Compensation Management, HR Operations roles. Experience in retail industry will be a big plus. - Experience with HR administration and general exposure / knowledge of various HR functions from hire to retire (e.g., policy, compensation, employee relations, benefits, performance management, etc.). - Very good MS-Office skills Must Have Experience of working in any of the following Industries (Any B2C company, having a direct consumer connect)
