Head - Human Resource - Furnishing Fabrics Manufacturing (16-25 yrs)

Client Brief - India's largest manufacturer and marketer of soft furnishing fabrics.

Designation - HEAD - HR

The incumbent would be heading the HR functions of our client. The incumbent would be responsible for partnering the Leadership Team in development & successful achievement of business goals & objectives enabled by well aligned HR systems & practice on pan India basis such as: Recruitment, Staffing, Induction, PMS, Training, Learning & Dev, Employee engagement, Organizational Dev, Culture building, Factory & labor administration & management etc.

Location - MUMBAI. Corporate office

Qualifications & attributes requirement : Open to both Male/female candidates. MBA in HR, with minimum. 12-15 yrs of exp. Must have looked after entire gamut of HR activities at both corporate & factory level. The ideal candidate would be someone from a textile manufacturing background or home decor.

Good knowledge, communication and relationship ability to professionally interact with multiple internal and external stakeholders. Should have worked earlier with progressive companies having contemporary HR practices in the FMCG/Retail/ Service sector of the economy.

SAP exposure is mandatory.

Age Band - between 40 - 45 yrs of age.

Job responsibilities:

HR Operations Management

- HR policy and strategy formulation in line with the business objectives of various divisions of the company.

- HR sourcing with an emphasis on improving the quality of intake and timeliness. (Recruitment strategy, process, using selection tools etc.). Should have high level of selection skills, ability to attract talents, employer branding etc.

- Competency building - through training need / gap identification, designing training programs, conducting soft skill training, developing internal trainers. Developing alternate learning initiatives.

- Performance Management - Setting of KRAs for all functions and ensuring timely performance reviews and performance feedback on a half yearly basis.

- Building & sustaining a strong Talent Management & Retention culture

- Creating a people connect across the Organization which is directly linked to business success

- Proactively provide inputs to the Management on the HR policies, processes, Voice of Customer that may have an impact on the smooth functioning of the Manufacturing Unit.

- Statutory mgmt - HR transactions (overseeing effectiveness of Pay Roll, Expense management, PF, ESIC, Medical, Bonus, Gratuity matters) & MIS (e.g employee database management, exit analysis etc.)

- Managing all issues relating to reward and compensation management (Developing potential candidates, monitoring their growth as per the Career Plan, organizing assessment centres etc).

- Supporting line functions on various People issues with proper advice and guidance. (Emphasize on culture building, value demonstration, ethical practices, people orientation, coaching and ownership).

- OD activities as per the business need.

- All other HR activities to bring improved work processes and effective employee engagement.

Industrial Relations

- To ensure harmonious relationship with the employees and workers, etc. and the Organization.

- To be proactive in assessing and advising potential problems.

- Working towards development of culture based on the ethos of the Organization

Talent Management & People Engagement

- The role will be responsible for conceptualizing and driving the Talent Management & Retention initiatives for the employees.

- Further this rule will facilitate deployment of employee engagement initiatives to strengthen employee relations with the Organization.

- Ensure transparency in implementation of HR Policies & demonstrate genuine care for the manpower as envisioned in Organizations Values.

- Be an active and effective interface between the employees and the management on all employee related issues.

- Advise the management on the best HR practices within the framework of the company's beliefs, values and objectives.

People / Organization Development

- Conceptualize, discuss and post buy-in from the related stakeholders, lead implementation of various people development initiatives

- Ensure delivery on targets related to training and proper learning.

- Design and implement various initiatives to imbibe organization Culture and Values across levels in the Organization
