Head - Human Resource & Employee Relations - Textile Business (15-20 yrs)

Vacancy for Head - HR & ER with 8000 Cr + Group in Ahmedabad (13-20 yrs)

Key Purpose of the Job :

- The position shall be based at Corporate Office at Ahmedabad. The Incumbent shall drive short term and long term HR & ER strategies for Client's Textile Business and will be responsible for its execution through factory HR & ER Heads.

- The position would need to work closely with, CEOs of Textile Businesses for understanding business needs, CHRO for strategy formulation and with Factory HR & ER Heads for execution.

- The position also has an oversight role in statutory, legal, payroll related matters, lay down strategies and monitor processes for Progressive Employee Relations management.

Major responsibilities :

Short & Long term HR Strategies :

- Identify key Business challenges and opportunities for each business unit

- Lay down strategies to deal with key challenges and opportunities, design a process, implementation roadmap and ensure execution

- Drive Employee Engagement initiatives of Corporate HR

- Productivity enhancement, Manpower rationalization initiatives.

- Create Communication platforms

- Dive HR Tech initiatives and Analytics

- Bench marking and implementing best industry practices

OD Interventions & Talent Management :

- Drive the OD initiatives of Corporate HR

- Formulating strategy for Capability building & its implementation, Succession planning

- Create a leadership pipeline

- Devise delivery process for developmental initiatives of Corporate HR team

- Culture and capability building initiatives to make the factory a world class work place and Arvind an Employer of choice.

Build Performance Driven Culture :

- Create a high performance culture enabling employees to contribute their best across all the factory location of the organization.

- Ensure co-ordination with respective factory HR Heads implementation of performance management system in order to ensure employee performance is monitored / rewarded in a consistent manner within the Company's Performance management framework.

- Performance based pay, Reward and Recognition initiatives

Training and Development / MDP :

- Conceptualizing & developing training & development initiatives for improved productivity, building capability and quality enhancement.

- Building in house capability for continuous skill upgradation

- Identifying capable workmen and developing them into Supervisors

- Training workforce to multi- skill to manage impact of absenteeism

Progressive Employee Relations Management :

- Design framework for pulse surveys and capturing employee voice.

- Initiatives for revamping work environment and facilities at workplace

- Design and monitor policy & processes for managing Health, Safety, and Hygiene of the plant.

- Outline strategy to deal with union and collective bargaining.

- Establish and further nurture strong relationship with various Government authorities, Local Authorities and influencing bodies.

Corporate Social Responsibility :

- CSR Vision and execution process consistent with strong and long held ethics and further enhance Arvind's highly acclaimed corporate citizen image. Trustworthy relationship with society and for business continuity.

- Evaluate outcome and re-align activities.

Interactions :

Internal : Business CEOs, Factory HR & ER Heads, Compensation Management (HR Shared service) Team, Corporate HR Team

External : HR/ OD Consultants, Training Vendors, Legal / Industrial Relations Consultants, Government Bodies, Unions representatives

Educational and Experience :

- Graduate

- PG Degree - Human Resource/Industrial Relations/Labour Welfare OR MBA from reputed institute

- 15 + years experience in HR & ER function preferably in a Brick and mortar company. (Number of years of experience can be relaxed for a promising candidate)
