Key Responsibilities : - Head - Human Resources & Administration shall be responsible for developing, reviewing and implementing HR policies and procedures, as well as managing the recruitment, performance reviews, inductions, employee relations, contracts, and compensation and benefits. - S/he will ensure these tasks are aligned with Global Human Resources practices. - To review HR policies and practices to ensure they comply with the legal and regulatory framework, and in alignment with practices followed by progressive NGOs/INGOs - In liaison with the Regional Director manages staff issues including disciplinary/grievance. - Keep management updated and ensure adherence with the most recent statutory labour laws and regulations of India - Provide guidance to staff on performance including conducting induction programs and when required, in liaison with Global HR - Manage the performance cycle including setting objectives, organizing reviews and final appraisal/ratings - Conduct annual staff engagement surveys and implement plans to address issues that come up during such surveys - Conduct training needs analysis, identify and inform staff of opportunities for staff development - To ensure implementation of relevant policies and processes with high customer focus (wherever executed by the central ops team). - The role will also facilitate the administrative functioning of the office by supervising the administration and IT functions. - To ensure empanelment of vendors for various needs of the office and seek regular feedback from the units on the performance of such vendors and take corrective action where required - To regularly liaise with relevant people in the Units/Projects to prepare projections of their administration related needs - To collaborate with the Legal Consultant for preparation of agreements/contracts and ensure that all agreements/contracts are credible and compliant with statutory requirements. Qualification and Skills : - Master's degree in Human Resource with a minimum of 15 years of handling similar kind of profile with an NGO /public health/healthcare organization. - Flexible team-player & multitasking. - Ability to deliver projects on time and on the budget. - Excellent written and communication skills in English. - Good negotiation skills.
