Job Objective To ensure a safe working environment, prevent any injuries and accidents, and facilitate compliance with respect to occupational health and safety (OSH) guidelines.

Key Responsibilities :

- Policies & Processes - Developing and executing health and safety plans in the workplace according to legal guidelines

- To ensure Safety guidelines and practices are implemented, monitored and reported across all work area

- Preparation and changes of Safety SOP related to critical activities like, Material Handling Equipment (MHE), Dock area operations, Heavy Duty Rack operations, Battery Charging area etc.

- Investigate & Analyze incident and recommend CAPA to avoid recurrence

- Preparing and enforcing policies to establish a culture of health and safety

- Evaluating practices, procedures and facilities to assess risk and adherence to the law

Training - Update on Trainings to all Company employees and Third Party/Contractual employees on various topics e.g. Safety Induction, Risk Assessment, MHE Safety, Refresher Training, SOPs, Emergency Planning, etc.

MIS - Represent Safety Audits on Company Level to track all observations for closure of open points and report as per requirement

- MIS reporting to Management

- Stakeholder management - Stakeholder Management with Business Heads to ensure Safety at their projects adhering to agreed Customer SLA

Key Result Areas (KRAs) Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

- Business Results Safety & MHE Initiatives to reduce incidents, indirectly impact on project cost(property damage, asset damage, injury to person, loss of manhours, MHE downtime, etc.

- Operational Excellence Value Proposition by cross-functional team MHE & Safety to conduct audit and create team of experts for Talent Pool

- CSI score on Safety & MHE (KPI agreed with Customer)

- Leadership Development Enhancing Skills of MTL & Safety Officer by identifying Training needs as per area of expertise

- Qualification Diploma/Degree in Industrial Safety, Safety course approved by Govt., Post- Graduation in Safety / Materials Management is preferable.

- Certified in handling dangerous goods would be added advantage

- Experience Experience in Safety Management

- Demonstrate to visualize, organise, adhere to Environment Health & Safety policies and play pivotal role for Safety related activities across PAN India

- Ability to coordinate, interface with all levels of staff, work with pro-active approach, good communication skills, analytical skills and different tools to develop Safe Working Culture
