Head - Group Executive Office - Steel/Consulting (20-25 yrs)

Head Group Executive Office Reporting to Chairman & Group Managing Director

Job Purpose : To lead the Group Executive office in the areas of Group business strategy, business planning, business performance reviews, technology adviser, decision making support and enable acceleration of growth organically & inorganically

Team Accountabilities :

- Strategic planning: Provide an outside-in perspective to all Group businesses including and not limited to domestic and globalization impact, global opportunities and risks, industry trends and their impact, emerging business models, technology possibilities and potential disruptions, new financing models and partnerships, and overseeing and optimizing resources

- Business Reviews: Assist the group leadership in decision making, planning and tracking of business operating plans through review mechanisms.

- Technology Adviser : Suggest a roadmap for technology adoption across the Group in the areas of emerging technologies

- Data analytics : Building out framework, processes and systems to perform data-driven decision making across the company. This team will also be expected to contain the primary capability in the Group to perform advanced analytics (including statistical analysis, machine learning, and big Data) to generate insights and identify efficiency improvement opportunities across each business

Individual Accountabilities :

- Support the development of long-term strategic growth plans for the Group and its businesses

- Be a thought partner to Business MDs as they chart their long term growth plans and build their internal capability for delivery of these plans

- Continuously identify and evaluate technologies & business models that impact the group's current & future strategy.

- Develop thought leadership in the industry through active engagement in the external market, both domestically and internationally

- Manage and run the full executive office of group leadership

- To gather market intelligence on every aspect that enables decision making in line with business ambitions

- Assist group leadership in taking ownership of executional framework & cascade it to the business/ functional leadership

- To enable co-ordination and functioning of Group Council in consultation with the GCHRO

- To set up business planning and budgeting process

- To set up Review mechanism and processes (Template and systematise the review process)

- Assist Chairman and Group MD in periodic performance reviews with Business heads

- Identify and seek opportunities to synergise and collaborate across the group.

- Seek out opportunities for achieving operational efficiencies through process automation and processes technology adoption

- Support, track progress against plan & ensure value dissemination through the HR processes

- Work closely with the Corporate Communications, Corporate affairs teams and key industry bodies

- Plan and assist execute key group initiatives

- Engage on specific projects as per asks of Chairman/ GMD

Profile/Skill Set :

- Self-starter with strong interpersonal and influencing skills; ability to work well with leadership teams

- Sound Operational management, Business & Financial acumen and strong analytical skills

- Good verbal and written communication skills

- Multitasking and dealing with complexities

- Excellent project management skills

Key Shared Accountabilities :

- Support development of Business Strategies across the group

- Stakeholder alignment and co-creating initiatives

Background :

- Engineer +MBA

- 20+ years of experience with 2+ years in a Strategy cell or Chairman office of a large Indian Conglomerate
