Head of Fundraising for a Non-Profit Organization   Reporting - Country Director  Job Purpose :   - The post-holder will be responsible for building and lead a successful fundraising team driving the direction and growth of the department.  - Leading the development and delivery of the fundraising strategy, you will recruit and develop team members to identify growth and new business opportunities, initially through the following channels:  - Corporate donations  - Institutional funders  - Employee fundraising  - Retail and individual fundraising  - Youll be responsible for the combined performance of the team and will be required to personally contribute towards the income growth through new partnerships.  The Head of Fundraising is a part of clients senior management team and as such, the post-holder will be expected to play a proactive role in the management of the organization, including :  - Organisational strategic planning  - Organisational development  - Income and expenditure budget planning and management  - Advising members of the SMT on the availability of funds and the viability of obtaining funds to support program initiatives  The Challenge :   - We are looking for an experienced fundraiser with energy, gravitas, drive and a sharp strategic mind. Bravery, innovation, honesty, and integrity will be at the heart of everything you do.  - Drive sustainable partnerships  - Work closely with the Country Director and UK Marketing and Fundraising Director to develop a five-year (2017 to 2022) strategic fundraising plan.  - Create an immediate short term plan for 2017/18  - Build and lead the team in your vision for development creating a strong team culture and ownership of targets and objectives  - Research, identify and secure sustainable income  - Keep the client at the forefront of key fundraising and corporate partnership trends  - Introduce and roll out new business tools and processes to enhance both internal and external communications (e.g. CRM system)  - Ensure exceptional account management for all corporate, retail and philanthropic accounts  - Communicate the client's key campaign messages to potential CSR partners and work with key members of the group marketing team on delivery  - Work with the program team to adapt communications for various fundraising audiences  - Engage and oversee the team  - Lead and develop the fundraising team through regular meetings and identify training needs  - Build relationships with board members and Directors, ensuring excellent relationships are maintained  - Work and manage relationships with high-value supporters and fundraising partners  - Work with the UK Head of Corporate Partnerships to introduce or refine working processes (e.g. business development process) collaborating to ensure a united fundraising plan  - Excellent people management skills  Essential Skills and Experience :  - A Masters degree in Social work / MBA Marketing & Sales.  - Corporate fundraising experience, with a proven track record of income growth  - Experience in managing high-value strategic partnerships  - Significant experience of working and leading a fundraising team  - The ability to construct and manage annual income and expenditure budgets and meet fundraising targets  - Experience of the charity sector, especially in relation to fundraising  - Experience of developing corporate partnership strategies in the previous role.  - Knowledge of the fundraising environment and of a range techniques and disciplines which will support the cost effective generation of income for the client.  - Ability to secure Senior Management and Board approval for strategy  - Commitment to client's core values and strategic direction  - Excellent presentation skills and the ability to inspire corporate partners and the client's team  - The ability to engage new and existing partners with powerful and clear communications  - The knowledge to advise on business development strategies and put the relevant processes in place
