The Head of First Party Risk is expected to perform the following functions:
- Develop the first party risk objectives, strategies, policies and related documentation.
- Organize periodic meetings to review the risk framework effectiveness.
- Ensure risk framework awareness across the organization.
- Report on the recommendations based on assessment findings and trends.
- Review existing risk assessment and recording framework and recommend changes.
- Review and update existing risk assessment methodology
- Addressing risk-related complaints, disputes, and other problems.
- Responsible for creating and implementing First Party Risk program with a focus on identifying and reducing client side risk to Organisation
- Leverage the existing GRC tool to implement a global First Party Risk platform
- Drive incremental improvement in existing processes with minimal business disruption
- Manage the expectations of an assertive client, respond proactively within the scope of the Company's Client agreement
- Manage escalations, incidents, and complex problems, requires the ability to judge the gravity of a situation and an awareness as to what one can to, personally to bring it to resolution, as well as when to seek assistance
- Maintain professionalism, solutions focus, and loyalty to the Risk & Compliance department as well as the larger objective of the Organization, required the ability to distinguish between client interests and company's interests
Educational
- Degree in either Risk, Law, Business, Technology or other related field required
- JD or Master's degree in relevant field preferred
Professional Qualifications
- Desirable - CIPP, CISM, CISA, and/or CRISC
Experience
- 7-10 years- experience in Risk Management or Compliance Assessments, preferably for a technology firm
- Understanding of Banking/Financial Services, Insurance, Technology, Data, and Healthcare industries a plus
- Experience leading and working in a global organization
- Ability to comfortably interact with clients and internal senior management
- Proficiency in using MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Lync)
- Strong deductive logic, decision making, and analytical skills
- High level of personal initiative and professionalism, ability to thrive in a truly global organization
- Excellent time management, decision making, and organizational abilities
- Willingness to travel and adapt work hours to the needs of a global organization
- Must possess superior problem-solving, communication (verbal and written), and interpersonal capabilities.
- Patience, a customer-friendly attitude and the ability to work in a team environment
