1. JOB DESCRIPTION BASIC INFORMATION ON THE ROLE Position Name Head Financial Planning and Analysis Function Finance Department FP&A Reporting To CFO Business Unit FP&A -

Corporate Location Chennai

- SECTION I: JOB PURPOSE To be the primary finance POC for Long term and Short term business planning and to enable CEO and CFO in decision making. To support the business leaders in evaluating business performance and take well-informed and commercially viable decisions through appropriate analytics/MIS.

SECTION II: KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Key Responsibilities Finance Planning and Analysis

1. Partner with CXO's to finalize Long term and short term Plans. To also forecast and give inputs through financial modelling.

2. Timely Interaction with the Investors and internal stake holders to provide visibility on the business performance.

3. Analyze key financial and operational performance indicators in all areas of revenue, Gross Margin, operating costs, fixed expenses and capital expenditures to understand business performance.

4. Ensure timely monthly closing of books of accounts and publish the Financials.

5. Prepare monthly comprehensive Business Finance Metrics and guide the stakeholders for Plan of Action (POA) to improve the efficiencies/benefits.

6. Risk analysis of cost and revenue elements of business and alert the stake holders for timely correction.

7. Drive Cost Efficiencies across the line items through re-engineered approaches.

8. Build Budgetary controls and tracking mechanism.

9. Drive Automation Projects to improve Timeliness, Efficiency and Accuracy of financial analytics. Commercial

10. Montior the Intake Margins and drive actions to improve the same

11. Evaluate alternate sourcing opportunities to improve the Gross Margins

12. First level sign off on Capex and New Store Expansion and Process to be laid for new store opening 


13. Coordinate with Legal for the Documentation for New Vendors and Stores Key Indicators of Success KPIs agreed for the year 


- Quantitative and qualitative Feedbacks from stakeholders. 


- Adherence to Timelines of the activities viz., Month closure, Forecasts, Trend analysis metrics Etc. 


- Data accuracy and integrity.

SECTION III


 JOB SCOPE / DIMENSIONS P&L / Revenue / Sales Target / Budget / Others Company revenue, cost and profitability and ROCE 2 


Educational Qualifications:


- CA or MBA from a Premier B-School Years of Experience 5 - 7 years 


Nature of Experience :


- Prior experience of having handled a similar role 


- Preference will be accorded to those from Retail or FMCG or a multi-channel organization 


Other Requirements :


- High Tolerance for ambiguity and ability to work in relatively unstructured environments 


- Strong verbal and written communication 


- Interpersonal skills; a team player with strong leadership and project management capabilities 


- Ability to function independently, prioritize on a real-time basis and manage multiple stakeholders 


- An excellent sense of financial planning and accounting principles 


- Strong understanding of data analytics and front-end visualization, with drill down on the fly. Knowledge and keen interest to learn new things, including Machine Learning, Big Data analytics and automation.
