Job Title: Head - Finance Strategy

Reports To: Chief Finance Officer (CFO)

Position Summary:

We seek a high-calibre finance leader to spearhead financial strategy, capital planning, and investor relations. The ideal candidate will be a Chartered Accountant (CA) who has cleared in the first or second attempt, indicating exceptional analytical ability and rigour. This role demands deep expertise in corporate finance, fundraising, financial modelling, and IPO readiness, with a strategic mindset to support business growth and long-term value creation.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Financial Leadership:

- Drive enterprise-level financial strategies aligned with the company's long-term goals.

- Partner with the CFO and senior leadership to shape financial frameworks that enable scalability and resilience.

- Identify levers for margin enhancement, capital efficiency, and cost optimisation.

- Assess and manage financial risks; proactively address market and regulatory changes.

Corporate Finance & Fundraising:

- Develop and implement capital-raising strategies (equity, debt, structured finance).

- Build and manage relationships with investors, banks, and financial institutions.

- Lead financial due diligence, investor communications, and capital structure optimisation.

- Prepare robust investor decks and financial narratives to support fundraising efforts.

IPO Planning and Execution:

- Drive the organisation's IPO readiness over the next 2-3 years.

- Liaise with investment bankers, legal and audit teams to build IPO-aligned governance and reporting structures.

- Lead development of disclosure documents and compliance protocols.

Financial Modelling & Evaluation:

- Build and maintain complex financial models to support strategic initiatives.

- Lead evaluation of potential M&A opportunities and strategic investments.

- Provide rigorous financial analysis for new ventures, contracts, and product pricing.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting:

- Lead the development and continuous improvement of performance analytics to provide deep insights into business profitability, cost drivers, and operational efficiency.

- Design and implement robust MIS frameworks to support data-driven decision-making at all levels of the organisation.

- Build and maintain performance dashboards that track key financial and operational KPIs, with a sharp focus on profitability analysis and return metrics.

- Partner with business teams to translate financial data into actionable insights and support functional accountability.

- Drive forecasting accuracy and variance analysis to ensure financial plans are aligned with actual performance trends.

- Ensure timely, accurate, and insightful reporting to internal leadership and external stakeholders, including the Board.

Education:

- Chartered Accountant (CA) - cleared in 1st or 2nd attempt (Mandatory).

- MBA (Finance) from a reputed institute is an added advantage.

Experience:

- 12 to 18 years in core finance roles, with strong exposure to fundraising, corporate finance, and financial strategy.

- Prior experience in the power or energy sector is preferred.

- Track record of leading high-impact finance initiatives and interfacing with Board-level stakeholders.
