Head - Finance - Logistics/Shipping Business

About the job:

We are seeking an experienced Head of Finance to lead our financial operations in India for our client. This role requires strong leadership, expertise in international financial transactions, and a deep understanding of compliance and regulatory frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide strategic financial leadership for all India operations.

- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.

- Establish and maintain robust financial controls and compliance frameworks.

- Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, receivable, and treasury management.

- Optimize working capital and cash flow management.

- Supervise and develop the finance team to ensure efficient operations.

- Lead internal and external audit processes, ensuring compliance with Indian accounting standards and international reporting requirements.

- Manage direct and indirect tax compliance, tax planning, and statutory filings.

- Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and legal teams for financial and commercial matters.

- Ensure regulatory compliance and coordinate HQ on financial and legal matters.

- Prepare and present financial reports to international stakeholders.
