Head - Finance
Position Overview:
- As the Finance Head, you will lead the finance function of the company with a focus on driving financial performance, overseeing all finance and accounting activities, and enhancing operational efficiency.
- You will be the subject matter expert for e-invoicing systems, financial processes, and compliance.
- You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that the finance department supports the company's growth goals while maintaining a high level of financial integrity and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
E-Invoicing & Compliance:
- Oversee the implementation and management of e-invoicing systems and processes.
- Ensure the company complies with all local and international tax regulations, including GST, VAT, and other e-invoicing requirements.
- Regularly review e-invoicing procedures, identifying opportunities to streamline and automate to improve accuracy and reduce errors.
- Work closely with the technology team to ensure seamless integration of e-invoicing systems within existing platforms.
Financial Reporting & Analysis:
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide detailed analysis of financial data, trends, and performance against budget and forecasts.
- Oversee monthly reconciliations and audits, ensuring timely closure of books.
Process Optimization & Controls:
- Review and implement robust financial controls and processes to ensure accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency.
- Identify gaps in existing financial processes and implement improvements to streamline operations and increase efficiency.
- Lead initiatives to automate finance processes, including invoicing, payments, and reconciliation.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead, mentor, and manage the finance team, ensuring a high level of performance and development.
- Foster a collaborative work environment within the finance team and with other departments.
Stakeholder Management:
- Maintain relationships with auditors, regulatory bodies, banks, and other financial institutions.
- Communicate financial performance and risk management strategies to senior leadership and external stakeholders.
Qualifications & Skills:
Educational Requirements:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) with a strong understanding of finance and accounting principles.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a senior finance role, preferably in a D2C or eCommerce company.
- Extensive experience with e-invoicing, accounting systems, and finance process management.
- Proven experience in financial planning, budgeting, and reporting within a fast-paced environment.
- In-depth knowledge of GST, VAT, and other tax regulations.
- Prior experience leading a finance team and driving process improvements across departments.
Technical Skills:
- Expertise in e-invoicing systems and tools (e.g., GSTN, SAP, Tally, etc.).
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, accounting software, and ERP systems.
- Experience with automation tools and ERP integrations for finance processes is a plus.
