Our client is a Multinational of repute and a well-known and respected organization in the business world.

Position Brief

Reporting to the CEO and serving as an integral member of the senior management team, the 'Head of Finance' will be responsible for the development of the Company's financial management strategy and contribute to the development of the organization's strategic goals.

In addition to the strategic components, the person will be charged with developing and implementing more sophisticated policies and procedures both in the finance and account's function.

We are looking for a seasoned finance leader who understand ecommerce as business, it's margins, experience driving profitability and a firm believer of technology and drive robust processes.

Work Experience

Candidate having last few years in start up environment is an advantage.

Candidate MUST be from EComm company. ECommerce Industry experience is NON NEGO.

Qualify to apply - Working experience in an EComm company is mandatory.

Education

MBA in Finance from a Tier 1 B School / CA Rank Holder / CFA 3/ Masters in a quantitative field with excellent academic record from one of the Tier 1 institutions like IIM/ ISB/ IIT etc.

Job Profile

You will be involved in making strategic financial decisions for the ECOMM India business while the organization grows leaps and bounds across major cities across the country. Apart from this, you will also be pushing the core DNA of the organization, thereby improving efficiency, growth across business teams.

You will help drive forecasting, planning initiatives, running with them to improve our business. In this role you will also mentor and develop team members, helping create a world-class team that goes deeper than just about anyone else in order to drive big results.

Business partnering - work closely with company leaders to develop financial forecasts and operational goals, apply business judgment and financial insights to assist with decision-making

Ensure effective financial management of the business: responsible for performing all financial tasks and oversight necessary to achieve the region's mission and help execute growth plans

Oversee the management and coordination of all fiscal reporting activities for the region including profit and loss reports, and monitoring of regional and cash flow budgets

Manage and oversee various relationships with HQ financial partners, including Financial Planning

P&L planning - you will be primary point of contact for all things finance for the region cities (including forecasting, goal setting, modeling support)

Analysis, Strategic Pricing & - Planning, Accounting, Financial Operations, and Financial Applications

Help us scale efficiently - we'll always move fast, but evolving our planning processes and ensuring finance best practices spread through the organization

Assess and evaluate financial performance of organization with regard to long-term operational goals, budgets and forecasts.

Contribute to the development of company's strategic goals and objectives as well as the overall management of the organization.

Maintain continuous lines of communication, keeping the CEO informed of all critical issues.

Advise CEO and other key members of senior management on financial planning budgeting, cash flow, and policy matters.

Enhance and implement financial and accounting systems, processes, tools and control systems to increase overall department's efficiency.

Oversee the month-end close process, constantly reviewing procedures while eliminating inefficiencies.

Team Development/Leadership

Oversee, direct, and organize the work of the finance & account team. - Mentor and develop team using a supportive and collaborative approach: assign accountabilities; set objectives; establish priorities; and monitor and evaluate results.

Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement that values learning and a commitment to quality.

Requirements:

- Strong understanding of Ind AS, IFRS, Company Laws

- Demonstrated leadership ability, confidence and executive presence - ability to motivate team.

- Significant experience working with external auditors, internal controls and compliance & related issues

- Ability to operate as an effective tactical as well as strategic thinker

- Think strategically and then execute - the models we build aid in decision making and strategy
