Head - Finance Business Partner - Commercial Finance - Sales & Marketing Division - South Asia (8-15 yrs)

- This is a leadership role with a team of 10 people reporting into it. The below responsibilities are those of the entire commercial finance function for which the Commercial finance Manager is responsible for. Specific leadership qualities and expectations are described separately

- Business Partner the Sales Director & Marketing Director in driving their agendas of growth by closely working with them and their teams. This will involve

Sales Finance : 

1. Involve in monthly Sales & Operational planning discussions to ensure target setting and deployment post assessment of key drivers. Co-own the top line forecast commitments and delivery especially through a strong Risk and mitigating opportunity process

2. Co-own Monthly trade spend budgets, reviewing actual spends and underlying effectiveness (ROI) and work closely with Sales in course correcting or help with real time decision making in the market

3. Involve in strategic decisions and analysis like Distributor Appointment /changes; Joint Business Planning with Key customers; Big Account acquisitions; Sales Incentive programs; Key RTM changes etc.

4. Ensure Compliance on Revenue recognition & manage and control processes underlying it including ; Shipment process, Receivable management, Claims management

Marketing Finance : 

1. Involve in Innovations agenda by supporting the team to drive profitable launches

2. Closely review Brand P&L and other KPIs that define action standards through Post Implementation review

3. Co-Own the marketing Spend budgets and underlying effectiveness (ROI) and work closely with Marketing in course correcting or help with real time decision making

- Drive and own the topline and commercial budget discussions in the short term (Annual Business Plans) & mid-term ( strategic Planning process). Drive thinking through ideas and opportunities and be a key player in shaping the future


- Working knowledge of Indian Direct and Indirect Tax Structure will be added advantage

Leadership : 

1. Develop & Coach the team and build capabilities across the function

2. Decisiveness; Thought Leadership; Balance of IQ & EQ to manage complex situations

3. Strong Problem solving abilities especially to think laterally and out of the box

4. Hugely collaborative and show ability to work in multiple cross functional team

5. Energise and drive accountability

Chartered Accountant/MBA Finance - 8-10 year's work experience

- Some travel within India as needed (to CFA Locations, Distributor & Retail points)
