Head - Finance & Accounts - Chemicals/Petrochemicals (15-20 yrs)
Key Responsibilities:
Management:
- Overall responsibility for Finance, Accounting and Commercial functions.
- Overseeing and reviewing the accounting structure and formulating accounting policies.
- Maintain and ensure an efficient and orderly accounting infrastructure to include a chart of accounts, filing system and a system of controls over accounting transactions
- Oversee the operations of the Accounting Department
Budgeting,MIS & Accounting :
- Be accountable for company's finances; develop periodic financials forecasts, strategic planning, & budgeting.
- Drafting Annual Business Plan, Budget and Periodic Forecasts.
- Establish and Control budget heads; drive financial discipline in the company; Set Up Financial control processes, including Six monthly/Quarterly Operating Plan, and ensure adherence to budgets.
- Provide a systematized reporting of financial data for comparative analysis to plans
- Analyse financial data by collecting, monitoring and creating financial models
- Variance analysis of actual vs forecast.
- Make financial presentations to business stakeholders.
Audits & Compliance:
- Coordinating with internal & statutory auditors for conducting audits; evaluating internal control systems to highlight shortcomings and implementing necessary recommendations, process and Systems.
- Accountable for all Statutory Compliance for the Company, including Companies Act, Taxation, Excise, Customs, etc.,
- Liaise with Tax Authorities and Government Bodies, External Consultants, for taxation issues pertaining to Service Tax, VAT, Income Tax and other taxation requirements.
- Responsible for departmental proceedings by Service Tax Department & Income Tax Departments.
- Ensuring timely assessment & filing of tax returns.
Commercial:
- Managing Commercial functions for terms of trade, for company's business units and/or subsidiaries, and logistics terms of trade with 3P logistics providers, and other service providers.
- Ensure timely receipt of payments, reconciliation, and confirmation thereof.
