Head - Environment & Rural Development (10-15 yrs)
About the role:
Head of Environment & Rural Development would incubate innovative and impactful projects along the areas of Natural Resource Management, Environment Conservation, Reduction in Carbon Emission from Agriculture & Allied Industries, Rural Development etc. Prepare and implement fund raising/business development strategy along key offerings of the vertical. Henceforth, oversee implementation, monitoring and learning. Further scale up projects, and grow the vertical.
Responsibilities:
1. Lead innovative projects in Natural Resource Management, Environment Conservation, Carbon Emission Reduction, and Rural Development.
2. Drive fundraising and business strategy, oversee project implementation, and enhance scalability.
3. Shape the organization's reputation as a thought leader, fostering growth and strategic alliances.
Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years' experience in Environment/Natural Resource Management, with 3 years leading rural projects.
- Proven budgeting expertise and understanding of on-ground costs.
- 2-3 years in Business Development, fund raising or consulting.
- MBA/Post Graduate degree from a top institution.
- Excellent communication skills in English, with Hindi proficiency.
- Results-driven with proven business and fund raising success.
- Thematic expertise in at least two: Natural Resource Management, Rural Development, Environment, Climate Change.
- Budgeting and financial management proficiency.
- Strong social sector connections, including CSR, NGOs, donors, and government.
