Head - Enterprise Architecture - NBFC (10-24 yrs)

Senior Level Mandate for Leading NBFC as Head of Enterprise Architecture in Mumbai.

- Analyze the business holistically to incorporate outside brands, services, and tools that drive growth and support initiatives and vision

- Create, align business, develop and implement the agile plug and play middleware or service oriented architecture (SOA) that consists of lego blocks of business functionalities. These legos can be put together to deliver one or more business processes or outcomes.

- Lead the co-creation, development and implementation of the enterprise BI(Business Intelligence) and Analytics journey that aims to provide actionable insights to all employees of all functions.

- Provides definitive point of view and recommendations on future architecture needs based on in-depth knowledge of strategic business plans

- Takes disconnected ideas and pulls them together in an articulate, relevant and precise point of view. Lead negotiations to reach agreement between conflicting views to achieve optimal consistency and reduce redundancy.

- Lead the creation of coalesced views of business capabilities and technology capabilities.

- Develops and maintains current and target state architectural models. Lead activities to define the future state and develop plans and roadmaps for the orderly transition towards the future-state vision.

- Direct or indirect involvement in the development of policies, standards and guidelines that direct the selection, development, implementation and use of Information Technology within the enterprise.

- Qualify all Business Unit high level projects/requirements and give guidelines on the tools required to support each need. The IT tool selection for a project has to be given by the Global Enterprise architect team not the BU IT teams.

- Promotion of shared infrastructure and applications to reduce costs and improve information flows. Ensure that projects do not duplicate functionality or diverge from each other and business and IT strategies

- Actively contribute to the maturation of the architecture practice through: the development of architecture standards, principles, policies, reference artifacts and reusable patterns; expert contribution to architecture process development and tools selection, implementation and use; commitment to continual maintenance and evolution of architecture artifacts; and other participation in the architecture community.

- Champion ideas which improve technology value delivery. Seek ways to apply technologies to realize business strategies and resolve business problems. Sponsor efforts to improve business performance through the application of new and existing technologies.

- Work with software architect(s) to provide enterprise software that is scalable, adaptable and in synchronization with ever changing business needs and drives innovation and value throughout enterprise projects.

- Work with infrastructure architect(s) to provide an enterprise infrastructure that is scalable, adaptable and in synchronization with ever changing business needs and drives innovation and value throughout enterprise projects.

- Work with information architect(s) to provide strategic information usage, integration, storage and retrieval across the enterprise and that information supports distinct and provable business advantage.

- Work with business architect(s) to provide deep understanding and integration of business and the technology strategy across the enterprise, to develop the models that best reflect the business strategy and that each business unit has effective architecture support.

- Analyze/assess strategies; balance near-term needs with longer-term strategies; leverage knowledge, experience, research and current state information.

- Long-term strategic responsibility for the company's IT systems..

Knowledge / Skills / Experience

Requisite qualification and experience:

- Relevant experience in IT. Must have held leadership roles, managed IT Services & Operations

- Ability to interact with senior management and communicate at all levels of the organization

- Systems or application development experience

- Enterprise architecture experience

- Functional and systems modeling

- Working in a variety of technical environments

- Understanding of and ability to operate within architectural frameworks

- Utilizing Business Architecture principles and models to identify business gaps, overlaps and risk areas at an Enterprise Level.

- Managing cross-functional, complex needs of stakeholders

- Strategy, capability and process modeling

Desired knowledge and experience:

- Considerable knowledge of business theory, business processes, user interfaces, user experience management, budgeting, and business office operations

- Development of enterprise and departmental strategic plans - desired

- Presenting to audiences in both Business and Technology communities (3 years)

- Project or program management desired

- Indirect management of people (3 years)

- Strong understanding of human resource management principles, practices, and procedures

- Proven leadership ability. Ability to set and manage priorities judiciously

- Strong interpersonal skills.Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
