Head - Engineering & Products - Artificial Intelligence Firm

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead and own the design, development, launch, and monitoring of for-social-good solutions . Supervise the development of project work plans, milestones and budgets; monitor progress closely to ensure timely and cost-effective execution

2. Lead and manage the entire engineering arm of Wadhwani AI, guiding a team of ~10 software, infrastructure and data engineers to produce excellent and impact-driven output

3. Build and maintain the organization's technical infrastructure, for both internal development and external deployment

4. Build and grow a strong, cohesive and highly efficient team of engineers by providing close mentorship, coaching and any other required professional development and technical support

5. Serve as an integral part of the senior leadership team, providing input on Wadhwani AI's organizational and growth planning

6. Build and maintain strong relationships with partners and external stakeholders, including deployment partners (e.g. government, non-profit organisations), vendors and research and infrastructure collaborators.

- You are a graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (or higher)

- You have experience in managing the design, development, launch, and monitoring of consumer facing apps combined with rigorous software development experience, ideally at a growing start-up

- You have a proven track record of product creation, with the ability to ideate and follow through with execution

- You have worked on or managed teams for on-premise and cloud infrastructure

- You have led teams to exceed their goals by setting clear project priorities and work-plans and providing coaching and mentorship

- You have a strong ability to architect solutions by asking the right questions, weeding out false information and identifying risks at an early stage

- You have built internal systems that produce high-quality, user-focused results

- You are viewed by your teams and peers as a positive, inspiring and supportive leader

- You have strong written and verbal communication skills, especially in working with external and/or senior stakeholders and partners
