Head - Engineering - OTT/Online/Internet

Looking for a candidate at a leadership role with at least 15+ years of experience in the tech field for a top OTT client.

Responsibilities:

- Charting road map for the core app framework that help make the apps more reliable and delightful

- Participate in definition and roadmap design of new products, features & functionalities for our users

- Work closely with Backend architect and engineering team to build well designed, high performance services

- Continuously improve and update micro-services and user-facing features

- Serves as technical design authority and recommends build decisions for client's frontend systems for app.

- Discuss with Internal/External business owners and technical users on their requirement, validate feasibility and prepare solution and architecture to deliver various business use-cases

- Security and Performance benchmark of frontend APIs

- Participation/Contribution in Agile Process and Delivery

- Owning and Accountability of solutions proposed and deliver

- Driving the science roadmap for web platforms & analytics services.

Technical Expertise:

- Experience in Android app development across Phone, Tablet and TV

- Experience in iOS app development across Phone, iPad and TVOS

- Experience in APIs, MDM, payment gateway, SMS gateway, Media content transcoding and cloud integration, APM tools, SSAI and CSAI solutions, Native Player.

- Sound understanding of Android Architecture, Framework, Android SDK, Core Java, Kotlin, Android Studio IDE, Android Debugger

- Sound understanding of Swift, Xcode, iOS versions, debugging tools, memory management, multi-threading techniques, UI design and architectural patterns.

- Experience with IOS frameworks such as Core Data, Core Animation, Core Bluetooth, CocoaPods etc.

- Experience with media delivery tech stack is must.

- Good working experience on Web Service Integration (REST, JSON, XML) & cloud technologies - AWS, GAE, GCM

- Sound working experience with ExoPlayer, AVPlayer, IMA SDK and DRM.

- Experience in using analytics, location and social APIs, MDM, payment gateway, SMS gateway, media content transcoding and cloud integration, APM tools

- Understanding of Android and IOS design principles and interface guidelines.
