- To manage and supervise all engineering and maintenance related activities at the plant in terms of mechanical, electrical and instrumentation works; ensure implementation of cost-saving measures and institutionalize key processes to ensure the smooth running of plant operations from an engineering perspective.

Management and control of engineering and maintenance operations :

- Direct and manage multiple concurrent engineering activities while ensuring their success in meeting their respective objectives of increasing machine reliability.

- Schedule both internal and external work(s) maximizing planned downtime and reducing unplanned downtime.

- Strategic and tactical responsibility for implementing engineering strategy and strategic operational goals

- Implement approved engineering budgets and monitor actual expenses to ensure they fall within budgets, analyzing out of budget expenses and ensuring they are offset in other areas of the project unless fully justified.

- Consult or negotiate with clients to finalize engineering deliverables.

Develop cost-saving measures :

- Develop measures to control costs using innovative engineering techniques and initiatives at the plant

- Monitor cost-saving targets on periodic to ensure achievement of desired targets.

- Implement a system of Maintenance and Engineering budgeting and costing system
