Head - Engineering - Asset Management

About the role

Head of engineering is responsible for establishing the Asset Management's technical vision and leading all aspects of company's technology development. Has an integral role in the Asset Management's strategic direction, development, and future growth. Ensure the environment is secure and stable, commensurate with the best interest of shareholders, customers, employees, and the public. Involved in developing and implementing IT architecture strategies to accommodate current and future organizational needs.

Key Responsibilities

- Responsible for the entire IT environment for Asset Management

- To manage complex projects and work across various verticals like Supply chain, Loans, Bonds to develop, integrate and deploy.

- Model development, maintenance and enhancement

- Financial models used to price loans, bonds and other bespoke products relevant to Asset Management

- Understand and model revenue and capital implications of deals

- Lead the team of infrastructure engineering resources delivering on projects aligned with enterprise wide standards, ensuring successful implementation of technology solutions.

- Work closely with Infrastructure Product Design to forecast demands and engineer appropriate solutions.

- Analyse existing systems to ensure they offer adequate security and are effectively meeting the needs of the organisation.

- Keep Infrastructure Engineering off the critical path of Application delivery.

- Be accountable for design standards and ensure solutions are fit for purpose and aligned with the strategic technology direction. This includes integration into operational teams.

- Recommend alternative technologies and Improvements, based on a deep knowledge of IT, the bank's strategic technology goals and analysis of the system needs.

- Proven track record of executing multiple large/complex digital platforms, transformation and innovation projects.

- Optimizing and managing the technology network in a manner it delivers high efficiency with sufficient resilience and yet managing costs effectively.

- Develop and maintain overall framework of IT policies, standards and strategies that will empower business and people to deliver on their commitments to the strategy and budgets.

- Ensure efficiency in process / operations across the organization.

- Identify security threats, formulate strategies and methods to mitigate the threats.

- Developing long term plans to sustain and support the business, anticipating the future trends.

- Ensure total quality management through processes and procedures.
