Our client is an American multibillion-dollar conglomerate operating in 10+ different businesses. They are looking for an EHS head which will be based out at their plant in Maharashtra that is supporting multiple business operations run by approximately 1000 people.

Reporting to the Plant Head, you will be responsible for:

- Leading, coaching, and mentoring EHS team member at a manufacturing site

- Developing, Implementing and Maintaining client's EHS Programs as per their EHS Framework requirements

- Lead Management of Change (NPI) and Risk Assessment activities and driving health & safety compliances and the reducing risks at the manufacturing site.

- Serving as a Health & Safety expert for applicable regulatory (Environmental Protection Act & rules, Factory Acts, and Rules, AERB requirements, Petroleum Rules and Regulations, SMPV etc.) and industry standard (i.e. ANSI, NBC, ASME NFPA, etc.) requirements.

- Developing a range of communication medium e.g. email communication, health and safety digital board etc. to ensure that workforce is kept up to date with health and safety matters.

- Providing support for an investigation after an EHS incident or event occurs and ensuring the site is equipped to handle all kind of emergencies

- Advising and assisting the Plant Director, Department heads and other persons involved in planning, organizing, controlling and maintaining a safe, healthy and environmentally friendly workplace

- Managing and coordinating a broad spectrum of EHS initiatives including employee engagement activities and also coordinating with applicable regulatory bodies

- Establishing a reporting framework between the various high-performance team, and provide the regular update on progress to the Plant Director

Ideally, you are an Engineer with a full-time degree from an accredited college or university with a specialized diploma or degree in Industrial safety /Environment with 15-20 years of experience in a manufacturing organization and 12+ years of EHS experience. You should be able to organize, motivate and lead teams, drive change, and interact cross-functionally. You should have excellent interpersonal skills and written and verbal communication skills including the ability to interact with internal and external customers, and all levels of the organization
