Company Start date : Early January 2021 Position - Head/ director - Growth Analytics Location - Gurgaon Job Description: Experience: Has 5-7 years of hands-on working with performance marketing agencies, and/or D2C consumer brands in driving online sales Overall description: - Key player in driving sales growth, by partnering closely with the Content, Sales and Operations leaders, and our Performance Marketing agency. The sales channels will be via own website, designer website, and third-party websites (tbd). The acquisition channels will be both organic and paid across Instagram, Google search, referrals, Youtube, Pinterest, Influencers. - Reports directly to the Founder/CEO KRAs: The specific responsibilities would include - Driving sales from new customers via targeted lead generation - Driving traffic to the website via SEO/SEM/ads - Optimizing conversion - Tracking conversion rates across the sales funnel, - Bringing the right optimization issues to the table to lead and facilitate devising strategies/mechanisms to address, - Executing the agreed strategies/mechanisms, via A/B tests to validate conversion hypotheses - Drives sales via referrals and from existing customers / databases via e-mail marketing - Creates end-to-end digital experience for users/visitors on web/mobile, in line with our brand proposition, via digital journey assessments, and web optimization projects - Running the cockpit - Builds dashboards to track metrics for acquisition, engagement, retention (overall, by channel - own site, designer channels, influencer, third party, by geography, by cohort) and helps adapt immediate content, sales priorities to drive our growth goals - Tracks customer/patron movement across the funnel and product lifecycle, to help identify user insights which will inform our content, product strategy - Work with the (external) technology team to ensure key user experience drivers are implemented - Controls and optimizes the agency spend for performance marketing Skills: - Deep understanding and successful practical experience of digital marketing covering areas like online experience, social media, programmatic marketing, email marketing, webcasts, paid media - Strong quantitative and analytic skills - Exceptional communication skills - Very conversant with the latest marketing automation (e.g., Hubspot) and analytics tools, and can leverage smoothly - Knowledge of and practical experience of analytics for key digital metrics to understand campaign performance and optimisation (e.g., use of HotJar, Optimizely) - Strong understanding and experience in organic web optimisation including SEO, content validation, gating strategies, livechat optimisation - Ability to scale growth quickly in a VC-backed D2C start-up context (ability to hustle, but also build structure and process for scale) Mindset: - Has the ability plus creativity+energy+passion to drive the desired outcomes as a leader, as an individual contributor, and as a team builder. - Strong work ethic, and sets high performance standards for self, team and peers - Ability to bring the best of what works for consumer brands, but also critically grasp nuances of communication in the luxury space, and reflect that in his/her approach - Strong entrepreneurial drive and spirit - extremely driven and motivated, plus inspiring and collaborating with partner teams (agencies, third parties) - Willingness and ability to dive hands-on into what needs to be done, then also lead, and adapt oneself to the changing requirements of the business What will the candidate benefit from: - Remarkably fast-paced growth and unique experience of scaling a high-end D2C business in India - Being part of the first team in a pivotal role, and hence contributing significantly to the strategic focus and the culture of the organization - Personal coaching from the Founder and strong development path - Enhanced visibility to the ecosystem in the D2C start-up space - Visibility to the designer ecosystem - Wealth creation opportunity via inclusion of an equity grant in the compensation - Initial focus will be on driving outcomes individually, and then a small team, and then scaling the team up quickly, to ensure the business scales at the desired pace.
