Role Responsibilities :

- Reporting to the CIO, you will be working as Head of Digital and Process Excellence for our API( Active pharmaceutical ingredient ) Business and leading the digital transformation journey and creating future roadmap for the business .

- Strategic Initiatives Business Unit specific

- Lead the Digital Transformation vision to create differentiated services in the market.

- Interact with BU head and functional heads in the BU to seek inputs on new initiatives in alignment with the business strategy and improvements over existing systems and processes;

- Design, conceptualize and initiate Digital transformation projects to disrupt, transform or simplify business processes;

- Assess impact of change on the ecosystem and roll out change management interventions during implementation of new projects;

- Seek feedback from business on IT enablement of new initiatives and initiate improvements to systems/applications/policies as required

- Adherence to Digital Product/Solution Development best practices and processes such as Design Thinking & Agile Scrum for ensuring optimum program outcomes.

BPE Project Delivery :

- Ensure scope of implementation for new projects are in line with expected business outcomes.

- Drive multiple digital projects from concept till launch and ensure delivery of digital solutions as per budgeted cost, timelines and quality.

- Driving solution adoption and scale up as per defined product roadmap for ensuring planned value realization.

- Ensure detailing of the as-is business processes and expected process improvement; review project plans; monitor project progress (daily for critical projects and weekly for all other projects) against project plans; provide support to project teams as and when required; initiate corrective actions when required;

- Partner with other DPEx heads of other Business Units to cross leverage any solutions.

- Prepare Program budget and annual operations budgets; provide approvals for all IT spends( hardware, software, project and maintenance services ) in the BU

- Ensure that optimal investments are made to achieve the expected outcomes

Platform Thinking :

- Conceptualize potential new digital platform business models and solution opportunities with an aim of creating competitive advantage and new business models.

- Partner with platform owners within the central DPE team to harmonize solutions where possible

Business Partnership Management :

- Identify key vendors for different types of products, software solutions and services; monitor vendor performance against defined Service Level Agreements;

- Maintain regular interactions with vendors in case of new products and projects; ensure timely payments are made and other contractual obligations towards the partner are met

Functional Performance Management - Scorecard and Reviews

- Develop a scorecard for the team based on business goals; monitor performance against the scorecard;

- Review project plans prepared by project managers; present monthly performance reports to Management highlighting projects taken up, progress, benefits realised, etc

Knowledge Management :

- Identify best digital practices from within Dr Reddys and external companies and industries

- Ensure sharing of knowledge on the same among employees; easy access to information available inside and outside the company;

People Development :

- Conduct goal setting, performance appraisals and mentoring/coaching for own team members;

- Collaborate with HR in manpower planning, recruitment activities and identifying training needs of team members; provide training to team members on new processes when required

Measures of Success :

- Successful adoption and scale-up of digital programs

- Enhanced value delivery, driven by improved project prioritization, leading to optimization of budget

- Better quality of project outcomes, in terms of timeliness of delivery, meeting success criteria and adoption and benefit realization

Operating Network :

Internal : All functions and teams within the DPEx organization across India and overseas locations

External : Vendors, implementation partners, knowledge networks in the industry

Key Skills and Experience :

- Strategic thinking, innovation, strategy development and execution, planning and decision-making in a in a complex organization.

- Good understanding of Digital Platform Thinking and ability to create Digital Business Models.

- Transformational mind-set and high level of customer Centricity

- Strong knowledge of IT industry standards and best practices to develop organizational capability assessment (people, processes, technology, knowledge) and process improvement models

- Strong knowledge of formulating IT Governance objectives and goals

- Ability to Communicate and inspire confidence at a senior level with technical and non-technical audiences

- Experience in the identification, evaluation and documentation of process flows, risks and controls

- Experience in delivering transformational change in Technology organizations

Educational Qualifications : Preference to MBA from a top-tier business school - IIMs, XLRI, SP Jain, FMS, International Schools / or equivalent work experience.

Experience Required : 12+ years of experience in leading Digital Initiatives with understanding of technologies such as Mobility, AI, IoT, Platform Thinking, Computer Vision.
