About the role:

This role will lead the technology agenda for the organization by driving automation & the digital journey of new age platforms across the technology ecosystem. The role will be instrumental in shaping the technology vision and deployment for the organization. The incumbent will be the go-to-expert for all strategic directions & development on the technology front across all major functions of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for new technological advancements in business to increase efficiency in processes and to implement economically viable solutions in consultation with the management.

2. Leverage emerging technologies (AI, IOT, OCR, RPA etc) in the areas of application development to create value for the business in line with technology vision of the organization.

3. Develop technology blueprints and the digital strategy for the organization, including infrastructure & data architecture. Be the go-to-expert for the organization on technology.

4. Drive internal capability building in niche technologies like AI, ML, Blockchain, Data Science etc to drive a self-sufficient technology model & reduce dependency on external vendors/ consultants. Manage teams to deliver existing projects within defined timelines.

5. Keep abreast with latest technology developments & trends in the industry & accordingly recommend solutions from a technology standpoint in conjunction with business needs.

6. Actively participating in global conferences, hackathons etc. & understand their business applicability to leverage the advancements that are relevant to Food & Aviation sector.

7. Mentor & drive the IT team to conceptualize potential technologies into viable solutions. Handhold technology teams during implementation phase & provide troubleshooting support.

8. Work on feasibility analysis along with development teams to do initial POC for identified new technologies. Accordingly, build a technology case in line with business needs.

9. Undertake impact analysis, such as projected cost & productivity improvements, cost of technology change and uptake. Develop innovative methods to optimize IT related costs.

10. Drive smooth transition, implementation and embedding of new technology initiatives in existing ecosystem and ensure successful integration with the business.

11. Stay ahead of the curve on current technology platforms and business process and proactively suggest digital solutions to the business for all strategic directions on the technology front.

12. Develop overall people capability of the technology teams and build department capability.
