Head - Digital Business - Media (10-25 yrs)
Purpose :
- Lead the Digital business arm of Media and own the P&L to drive sustainable growth and profitability
- Formulate and execute a digital strategy for the organization to ensure growth in Digital Media and achievement of long-term digital goals

- Creates and drives short-term and long-term business plan for Web in alignment with the organization business plan
- Drives differentiated brand positioning in the market for web platforms
- Define digital revenue strategy in terms of coverage areas and industry focus and monitor execution of strategies
- Define retention strategy for each product and drive conversion to direct traffic
- Define a robust marketing strategy to improve and enhance application downloads, identify traffic growth accelerators, ensure SEO rankings an ensure asset upkeep
Financial :
- Owns the Digital P&L, ensures a growth of Revenue through Network & Direct sales to achieve the desired Revenue Goal of 10/12 Crores
- Ensures profitability and maximizes revenue of each Web platform
- Identifies the right network to maximize yields for each web platform
- Drive optimization of sales through new user acquisition by identifying the right SEO accelerators and social media amplification plan
- Define new revenue strategy for Web (Digital SBU)
- Ensure adherence to budgeted cost for each digital product team
- Maximize content distribution revenue
- Implement exchange and header bidding
- Focus to drive DAVP revenues for each Web platform
Operational :
- Identifies business risk to current operations and develop business case for driving new and/or improved digital products
- Drive user experience through product to increase time spent and reduce bounce rate
- Drive enhancement of digital product awareness and recall in the market
- Leverage on relationships with existing national print advertisers and attempt to convert them into Digital advertisers, and achieve Revenue/Yield targets
- Expedite time to time changes in the products with the help of IT team to facilitate Programmatic revenue
- Drive a zero error policy for all the Web platforms to ensure no technical errors
- Define a strategy to boost followers, daily engagement, reach and CTR for Facebook and Twitter
- Implementation of Facebook Instant Article and Ad Network
- Define a video strategy for social media content amplification
Transformation and Organization :
- Design the future-ready operating model for the Digital business, leveraging new-age practices such as Digital Newsroom, Cognitive Tech, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence
- Build collaborative teams to drive agile product development and consumer centricity
- Conduct detailed resource planning for each new initiative/process with a view to estimate budget, time and man month requirements
- Mentor and coach subordinates to develop the team's capabilities and build a strong succession pipeline for the role
- Reviews recurrent issues/trends and sets in motion the required set of course correction measures

Job Specification :
Education: Post Graduate/ MBA
Years of Experience : 10+ years of relevant work experience in building digital business in media or consumer-facing industries
