Head - Digital Banking & Alliances - Bank (10-20 yrs)
Key Responsibilities :
- Developing digital strategy for the Bank conjoint with the channels, digital and products. Generate an ideas funnel towards achieving results in-line with the overall strategy. Architecting the digital roadmap for the bank with P&L responsibility.
- Building alliances and partnerships and generate revenue streams through monetisation of digital assets (Prepaid Card, Payment capabilities i.e. IMPS, NEFT, AePS etc.)
- Building alliances for increasing digital footprint (with ecommerce players etc)
- Leading self-service eKYC based digital acquisition (Savings, Fixed deposits) & lending for the Bank.
- Leading the team of product managers working on mobile technology, prepaid & debit cards and payment platforms (NEFT, RTGS, IMPS, UPI, AePS, QR code, ATMs, Micro ATMs etc.), Agency banking/ Business Correspondent Banking and value added services (Bill pay, Mobile Recharge, DBT etc.). Work on digital innovation (Chat-bot, sms, whatsapp banking etc.)
- Managing Digital Channels (Mobile Banking, Internet Banking for retail & corporate customers) for Customer journeys, competition benchmarking, customer adoption and usage.
- Managing Cards business from both issuing & acquiring perspective with close coordination with networks (Rupay, MasterCard & Visa). Working on innovative models for sponsorship opportunities to generate revenue for the organisation.
- Lead interactions with Regulator (RBI, UIDAI), Networks (Visa, MasterCard, and NPCI), Technology partners Peer Banks and Fin-Tech to achieve strategic business objectives and ensuring efficient and profitable business. Working with Payment aggregators for Internet Banking PG, BBPS services.
- Working with key internal support and control stakeholders (Liability & asset Product, IT, Ops, Compliance, BIand Law) to ideate, build and manage smooth processes related to digital businesses.
Core Competencies:
- Functional Expertise: Specific and relevant functional expertise is a must. Deep understanding of Banking products, Mobility, Cards & Payments is required. Understanding of Banking processes and end to end knowledge of banking interlinked systems (Core banking, CRM, LMS, Card Host, Switch). Exposure to android & iOS platforms, payment solution architecture, QA testing, SLDC is desirable.
- Strategic Thinker: Understands the overall ambitions/ strategy of the organisation, and how the ambitions can be realized
- Good execution skills: Able to implement strategies by thinking through steps of implementation, taking operational decisions, and putting personal effort as needed
- Analytical and problem solving skills: Able to analyse/process vast amounts of data and information and gain insights to enable business acceleration. Able to dissect a problem into parts, prioritize issues, find data necessary to support analysis and come out with creative and practical solutions for implementation
Required Candidate Profile:
Education:
- 10+ years work-experience in digital banking product management and/or consumer-facing mobile product in Banks or Financial institutions. Exposure to digital business models like eCommerce, B2B, B2C marketplaces desirable.
- Bachelors/ Master's degree (Honours) from a reputed college/ university
- Excellent academic background (grades, institutions)
