Head of Design Essential Responsibilities : - Lead a team of Consumer Designers with a breadth of design skills while participating as an expert contributor. - Lead a team of consumer designers to deliver product keeping in mind design language, cost, quality, and timely delivery. - Provide coaching and thought leadership on design process and execution to the business. - Work with Consumer insights to scope research activities which inform and validate design direction. - Lead team through the creative problem solving process which utilizes rapid prototyping and rigorous user testing - Work closely with cross functional leaders to establish design goals and project scopes. - Effectively implement the design process to the specific project or business need. - Guide team to create a balance of usability, performance and brand language requirements. - Provide manufacturing and product cost guidance to meet program goals. - Manage multiple projects across categories simultaneously. Qualifications/Requirements : - Bachelor's / Master's degree in Design from Premier Institution (Desirable - The portfolio speaks eventually) - preferred specializations in product design, lifestyle accessory design, fashion design, furniture design. - 12 + years designing and managing a product portfolio for manufactured consumer goods.
