Responsibilities:
- Oversee the comprehensive trajectory of Depository Participant operations, guaranteeing uninterrupted functionality in every aspect-encompassing account initiation, regular maintenance, settlements, corporate activity management, reconciliations, and system enhancements.
- Meticulously enforce conformity to regulatory frameworks issued by SEBI, NSDL/CDSL, and additional governing bodies within the DP domain to maintain unwavering compliance at every operational level.
- Craft and institute exemplary risk mitigation protocols, deftly navigating fraud prevention while bolstering operational efficiency and internal control systems.
- Administer the account opening sequence and subsequent modifications with precision, ensuring diligent adherence to KYC documentation and regulatory conformance.
- Expedite client-directed actions with punctuality and exactitude, which include dematerialization, rematerialization, as well as the pledging and invocation of securities.
- Foster and maintain stellar client relations, addressing any concerns with swiftness and efficacy, thus nurturing customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Strategically manage corporate action events - including the distribution of dividends, issuance of bonuses, rights offerings, and consolidation processes - ensuring precise and errorless execution.
- Enhance operational workflows proactively, recognizing and rectifying inefficiencies, and incorporating automation to significantly improve accuracy and expedite processes.
- Collaborate with IT specialists to secure and streamline digital operations, ensuring routine system improvements are in step with evolving regulatory standards.
- Facilitate the management of inspections, audits, and compliance reports with regulatory authorities and depositories, confirming the timely and accurate filing of requisite documentation.
- Lead, mentor, and enrich the DP operations team by sharing insights about evolving policies, procedural updates, and recent regulatory shifts.
- Coordinate seamlessly with a network of brokers, custodians, clearinghouses, and other market entities to ensure transactional precision and flawless settlement procedures.

Some Additional Responsibility
- Spearhead the establishment and optimization of DP Operations, adopting a customer-centric and efficient approach.
- Conduct operational-level testing within DP back-office software (DPsecure Plus) and Central Depository Services Limited (CDSL) User Acceptance Testing (UAT) environments encompassing Beginning of Day (BOD), End of Day (EOD) processes, account opening, Delivery Instruction Slip (DIS), pledges, and billing activities.
- Assiduously oversee compliance reporting to the depositories, including the submission of diligent reports, adherence to the Investor Charter, systematic resolution of investor grievances, and ongoing review of regulatory and depository circulars.
- Design and maintain critical documentation, including account opening forms, DIS, pledge documentation, tariff sheets, and additional DP-related forms.
- Ensure timely submission of Investor Grievance Reports and Back Office (BO) Grievance Reports, coordinating with vendors and depositories to resolve any issues pertaining to back-office software and CDAS systems. Navigate and submit reports through the Auditweb Application as per CDSL standards.
- Manage the meticulous onboarding process for Portfolio Management Services (PMS), ensuring Know Your Customer (KYC) compliance, KRA verifications, and authorizations in Central KYC (CKYC) for both registration and modifications. Oversee KYC procedures for clearing clients, establishing a gold-standard process of client integration.
