Head - Database Services

ROLE SUMMARY

- Head of Database Services and a member of the technology India IT leadership team

- Responsible for the implementation and operations of all databases across the bank, both in an on-prem and cloud environments.

- Operationally responsible for ensuring the stability, availability, integrity, and security for all IT systems and infrastructure, both in an on-prem and cloud environments.

- Key responsibilities include managing large production support function and incident management practices

- In partnership with the Leads for Business Applications, this position will be accountable for technology infrastructure planning and deployment of technology for project deliveries.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Embed NWOW culture of learning, empowerment, rapid experimentation, adaptability and collaboration

- Partners with Domain Leads to lead the technology infrastructure and operations strategy and execution for the enterprise

- Provides vision, enables innovation and seeks to leverage IT trends that can create business value consistent with the company's strategic objectives

- Planning, program management and implementation leadership, identifying opportunities for automation, cost savings, and service quality improvement.

- Leadership of 24/7 service operations that meets or exceeds KPI goals

- Work with the Technology Chapter Leads in your Area to build and develop Technical expertise and capability you need to deliver and to drive innovation

- Experience with comprehensive disaster recovery architecture and operations both on-prem and in cloud environments

- Participates in the formulation of the company's enterprise architecture and business system plans assessing cost and feasibility, and ensuring the plan is aligned with and supports the strategic objectives of the business.

- Problem-solving leadership for complex infrastructure implementations, system upgrades and operational troubleshooting.

- Ability to manage a large, diverse team across multiple locations

- Ability to collaborate with global leaders to work towards common goals and initiatives for the success of the firm

- Ability to lead and manage large scale change and guide associates through ambiguous environments

- Conducts product and vendor evaluations ensuring best in class technology and partner decisions

- Manages vendor partner relationships and builds strategic relationships to creating value for the organization

- Development of a highly engaged, modern, and inclusive workforce.

- Execute ANZ's strategic IT agenda in partnership with the business.

- Develop and implement IT Strategy within the Tech Area and adopt market trends into the new way of working

EXPERIENCE

- Knowledge of working in an offshore / onshore environment with 20+ years of experience

- Management of diverse teams of more than 500 people across multiple locations

- Deep experience with implementing and constantly evolving lean and agile practices and building high performing team

- Proven success of delivering cost effective, value-based, modern solutions both in an on-prem and cloud environment
